Tronsmart 3ft*3 High Speed MicroUSB 3 Pack for $4.59 US (~$6AU) with the coupon: LIEJPZMF

Or add both to the cart and use the coupon: LCRDDWWU to get both for $25.99 US (~$35AU)

All orders include free shipping, but faster shipping methods (DHL/TNT/EMS) are available!

With the 5-Port USB Charger tests have shown that a 3500mAh battery can be charged from 0% to 60% in only 30 minutes for any compatible device using Qualcomm's Quick Charge 2.0 technology. The charger also utilities a technology called VoltIQ that is able to detect the charging protocol used in the device to provide the fastest possible charge without the risk overheating, overcharging, short circuiting etc. This is useful for any device that does not support Quick Charge 2.0. The charger also includes an AU cable, so you don't have to worry about using a flimsy adapter.

Some of the Quick Charge 2.0 Compatible models include:

  • Samsung Galaxy S6, Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, Samsung Galaxy Note 4, Samsung GALAXY Note Edge
  • LG G4, LG G Flex2
  • HTC One M9, HTC One M8, HTC One mini
  • Sony Xperia Z3, Z4, Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet, Z4 Tablet
  • Google Nexus 6
  • Motorola Droid Turbo, Motorola Moto X
  • ASUS Zenfone 2 Series
  • Xiaomi Mi3, Mi4, Mi Note

The 3 pack of MicroUSB cables are not like a lot of other cheap microusb cables found on the internet, as they're made from high quality materials and are able to provide faster charging and data syncing of up to 480Mbps with error-free data transmission. They make a perfect companion for any Quick Charge 2.0 phone and charger.

      • thanks. I was too rushed. I checked the confirmation email, says AU plug

      • Hi, i am looking to buy one of these cables, but there is no more TNT USD $0.24 shipping, it's coming up $10 something. can you please check with them?

        • The cable on its own won't get the cheap TNT shipping. Everyone else is getting it by having just the charger, or the charger and cable together.

        • @Clear:
Yeah. Just realised. Thanks for quick response.

  • Just a note on these, I got one on a deal long ago. They come with a US power plug on them and are supplied with an Australian converter. The converter was terrible quality and never quite "hugged" the pins too well and I quickly lost it, rendering the whole thing useless until I can find another.

Otherwise super handy, but this bugged me.

    • Not this one. Geekbuying ordered ones with proper AU plugs with the plastic part covering half the pins specifcally for Ozbargain.

Edit: The cable in these are also quite generic and can be found on eBay or in stores.

      • +1

Consider my post irrelevant. To make amends, I just looked up my past order and can confirm shipping with TNT only took 4 days from China. Jump on this

This is good for safety. Especially if there are young children in the house, or if they will be visiting. However, buyers should remember that the cable is unlikely to be certified for Australia, and the device itself is not certified.

        • Safest thing to do would be to unplug it when it's not charging. I do this with all of my China-electronics.

        • @Clear:

Safest thing to do would be to unplug it when it's not [being used for] charging.

Are you referring to the safety of children with small fingers?

Or, are you referring to the safety of the charger itself?

Either way, it does not make much sense. Of course if the device is not used it will be safer than when it is being used.

Perhaps you meant that someone should be in attendance (near by) when the device is being used to charge items. Then when it is not being used, it should be unplugged from the wall socket.

In practice these devices are usually left connected to a wall socket (which is switched ON) and are left with charging cables (micro USB etc.) connected.

        • @A3Australia: What I mean is. When your devices have finished charging and you've unplugged them, unplug the charger as well rather than leaving it plugged in. I had to do that with both my Nexus and HTC chargers as they both developed a buzzing noise and got really hot even though nothing was connected and charging.

        • @Clear:

What I mean is. When your devices have finished charging and you've unplugged them, unplug the charger as well rather than leaving it plugged in.

Yes, of course, you are quite correct. This would be a very good, and safe, practice to follow.

However, as I said before, most users will leave the charger plugged in and turned on.

I had to do that with both my Nexus and HTC chargers as they both developed a buzzing noise and got really hot even though nothing was connected and charging.

If they were genuine chargers and certified for the voltage (220-250v) and the country (Australia) they should not buzz nor get really hot.

I am using (un-certified for Australia) CHOETECH 6-Port chargers (with certified 250v cables to the wall sockets), and have left them connected and 'on' 24/7 for months now. They never even get warm, and there are no noises.

        • @A3Australia:

Exactly my point. It's a good practice people need to get into.

They were the correct and certified ones for Australia. Obviously they were faulty.

      • Plastic bit is insulation to stop chances of short circuit across the pins.

        • Plastic bit is insulation to stop chances of short circuit across the pins.

Sort of. The insulated pins are to prevent small fingers from touching 'live' pins while pulling the plug from a power point that is still switched 'on'.

        • -1

@A3Australia: That too. I have seen where the plug work loose over time and a gap appear and paper clip drop down in the gap and onto the pins.

  • hey clear, just wondering; will this charge 5 devices at 2A all at once? say if i had 5 devices that supported it. i.e. output 10A?

also, i want to get 2 sets of those cable packs, is there a coupon for that? or does it automatically make both $4.59 USD each?

    • Good question. I'll ask GB and find out exactly.

Edit: While I wait for a response, check out this Amazon review. It was pushed to the limit and has some results that may answer your question.

  • After reading the comment thread I bought two to replace my Anker ones from a few years ago.

Thanks OP for responding to the questions!

    • +1

No worries. That's what I'm here for.

  • Note: based on info in the manual, only 1 of the voltiq ports out of the 4 ports charges at 1+ amp WHEN all four ports are used to charge 2+ amp devices.the QC port charges independently from the looks so can charge at 2+amps.

  • Hi @Clear, my order number is 3472996 - can I please change the cable pack from the 3x 6ft, to the multi-pack?

    • Can you link me to which one? There are no current deals for the other ones either.

  • Any deals on QC2.0 car charger?

    • Not this time. I'll likely have QC deals every fortnight.

      They're becoming the new eneloop.

  • Contemplating which one to get.. This tronsmart 5 port charger or this one from ebay:
    http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=171900415439&al…

    • That's some unbranded charger, this is a certified qualcomm charger.

    • As raven has said, that is a generic charger which has not been certified by Qualcomm. This page from Tronsmart has the announcement along with Qualcomm's list of approved devices from August.

  • OP, does geekbuying have any good car mounts similar to this: http://www.amazon.com/Aukey-Universal-Smartphone-Windshield-… ?

I'm ordering the cables with TNT shipping, might as well get a car mount too :)

    • Quick search reveals these.

  • Hello Sales

You take ages to ship your product.

I am still awaiting my last order from last 4 months. Sent several emails but no avail…

    Order Number: #3401904

    That was on presale…

I am happy to get refund..

    regards
    san

    • Feel free to message me if you're not happy with Geekbuying's response, or lack of response. I'll pass your order number on and let them know.

      • As i already gave my order number #3401904

Still waiting 4 months and paid $50.

        When can i expect…

        • I meant in future you or anyone can.

I have passed it on and someone should be in contact soon.

  • Would be nice if I could add the 6ft x 3 cables instead of the 3ft as the package

  • Rep, is a deal on Tronsmart Quick Charge 2.0 54W 4 Ports Car Charger? Have been waiting for this!

    • There will be probably next week or the week after.

  • Just bought the pack of Micro USB cables. About time I ditch the crappy ones I got off eBay!

  • I'd caution against purchasing from GeekBuying. I bought one of these chargers in a previous deal and it emits a loud and annoying whine and is apparently faulty. I've emailed customer support for two weeks who have been unhelpful and refused to send a replacement. Instead, their only remedy is for me to get the charger fixed locally.

    • Did you mention that you got it from the deal site as I said to you before? Send me your order number and I'll explain it to one of their staff directly and get something sorted. Sound good?

This goes to everyone else. If you're not happy with Geekbuying's service, then please let me know so that I can follow it up with their staff and get it resolved.

      • Yeah I informed them multiple times. They're refusing to even accept a return since I submitted the order over a month ago (although they didn't respond to my emails for up to a week). The order number is 3416088, cheers.

        • That's rather annoying that they're still refusing after that. I'll follow up and let you know when I hear back. Due to timezones and stuff it should be sometime tomorrow afternoon.

        • @Clear:

          Thanks mate.

        • @ComfortablyNumb: Someone should be in contact soon. Let me know how it goes.

  • Ok - took me a while to find the email. I ordered one of these quite late on the 25th:

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/212641

Since that's only ~3 days before the 29th, which Clear said was still ok, I'm assuming I shouldn't be too concerned.

  • I bought a few micro usb cables in various lengths a couple of weeks ago. One either never worked or has failed. Won't charge S5, and is loose in the phone's plug.if rep wants to pay for postage I am happy for him to look at it. I well test others and report back. Don't recommend.

    • PM me your order number and I'll get their staff to sort something out.

Edit: Also signup for free returns with Paypal. It'll allow you to have postage costs refunded for any Paypal payment.

      • Thanks, I am not chasing a refund or replacement, just d wanted you to have a look at for qa

        • I'm actually located in Australia. I can always pass the feedback onto Tronsmart and Geekbuying though.

  • Hi Clear, I'm assuming this unit supports the Note 5 as well?

    • Yes. Even though the Note 5 doesn't use a Qualcomm processor, it is still compatible with the Quick Charge 2.0 standard.

  • +1

Turned out about AU$39 for both items with last code.

Also, why isnt the geekbuying site https when logged in, thought thats the norm these days?

  • Ordered and shipped 2 days later. Wonder how long it would take to get to me with their normal shipping? It's up to the postman now to deliver.

  • any chance of a deal with longer cables

    • +1

Yep. In the next week or two.

  • My order arrived this morning. It seems to be of good quality and no high frequency pitch emitting.

Oh well still waiting for the car charger from previous deal.

  • Just got mine this afternoon, seems to be working well and I haven't got the buzzing noises which is good.

    • That means your unit isn't faulty. Enjoy :)

  • Just got mine, seems to be working well so far and I haven't got any buzzing noises. Clear can you see in future deals any info on achieving these cheap TNT deliveries? This was a enjoyable getting a quick delivery for a nice price. :)

    • From what I've seen so far it looks like it'll continue, but I'll have to check.

      • I meant on other types of items that you post…..if you didn't understand my intention :)

        • Yeah I know what you mean. I made a purchase a few days ago and TNT was about $1.

        • @Clear: mmmm, sounds fantastic :)

  • Got mine today, but the quick charge only seems to be doing 250mA while the other ports go between 260mA and 1640mA.This is using Ampere app to measure on my G4. Doesn't seem right? Not only is the quickcharge meant to be more, the other ports shouldn't be fluctuating so much?

    • LG G4 quickcharging isnt very fast.

    • I am not too sure but Ampere doesn't act well with my fast charging device as well (The device recognises the input as fast charging though).
So what I think is happening is, it cannot tell whether it is fast charging (I think fast charging works by having higher voltage? Clear can clear things out for us probably), so it tries to measure it conventionally and fails (is what I think is happening).

  • Are these safe?

    • Are these safe?

Technically (legally) No. However, in practice they should be. They appear to be well made and fully insulated. So long as buyers purchase an approved and certified cable to connect the device to the AC wall socket - all should be well.

  • +1

I received the item and my phone is QC 2.0 enabled (LG G4). How come it doesn't feel like it's charging any faster even though i plugged it in the blue usb socket?

    • According to this article there is a 23% improvement.

    • Same situation, I think it is faster but only slightly. Also, from what I read, quick charge only works when the screen is off.

  • Tronsmart Quick Charge 2.0 5-Port USB Charger more deals on this please!!!

    • +1

Every second week is the current plan.

      • great potentially next week then

        • +1

          Anything specific you're after?

        • Tronsmart Quick Charge 2.0 5-Port USB Charger (AU Plug) for $21.99 US (~$30AU0)

        • +1

          @Clear: Wouldn't mind a 2 or 3 port cart charger next time.

        • +1

          @Smigit:

I prefer the 5 port as it has an external power cable, eg can swap to suit the country, which is better than having to run an adapter

        • +1

          @smacko: I was asking about car/cigarette lighter versions :)

        • @Smigit:

I bought the 3 port one, not that that helps you :)

  • Hi OP, i ordered this on the 18th and its still processing? When should it ship?

    • Order number? I'll follow up on it.

      • I think i posted too soon, the status changed to shipped not long after the post (friday night) and arrived Monday! Thanks

  • Hi is there new codes for Tronsmart Quick Charge 2.0 5-Port USB Charger (AU Plug) for $21.99 US (~$30AU0)

    • Not currently.I'm sure GB will give me another soon.

      • Thanks for that, will it be updated at the top or here in the comments?

        • A new deal would probably be created.

        • @Clear:

OP , when is new deal coming , I am also after one of those QC 2.0 charger.

        • @namz: Sometime between now and Saturday. I typically don't have contact or very little with the staff between Saturday and Tuesday so I can't give an exact time.

My recommendation would be to click on Subscribe on the store page under Top Posters to get a notification when the next deal is posted.

        • @Clear:

Cool. Sounds Good , I will key an eye.
Btw how time takes for shipping to Melbourne suburbs ? Is there a physical store from where i can pick it up ??

        • +1

@namz: It comes from China. Free shipping typically takes 3 weeks, but there is DHL and TNT available. Recently TNT has been discounted to the point of being completely free or ~$2 too.

  • Looking forward to a new QC deal from BG. =]

    • +1

Not if I beat their price…

      • Oops typo, I meant GB. Man, this is getting confusing jv-TA. O_o

        • It's okay. People think I'm with Gearbest sometimes and demand that I send their orders…

  • Edit: Wrong thread.

  • Received and have been using this charger, very happy with it. Just curious, what's your opinion on no-name uncertified QC chargers on eBay, Clear?

    • Since they haven't been certified by Qualcomm, there is no guarantee that it's actually Quick Charge 2.0. They could be QC 1.0 or even a standard 2.1a charger. There is also the risk of them being much lower quality with the potential to burn out, short circuit and damage your devices etc.
