This post just made me realise I have a Chromecast that is still in its box from months ago. Damn you OZB!

    • In Melb 2stroksmokr? I lost mine when I moved, have given up on ever finding it.

Was it next to your still boxed eneloops and SD cards :-)

  • Just in case you don't know, there is a new version of Chromecast

I always thought it was $5
        Online only?

"to spend on your next online purchase."

Strange end to their small print:

*To redeem your $25 online discount voucher you must create an online Harvey Norman account and log in. Only for use with a minimum order value of $150. Voucher is limited to 1 per Harvey Norman online account and email subscription. The voucher will only be valid for 30 days from the date you receive your email. Excludes Harvey Norman

        • It was $5 off minimum spend $25 IIRC but they replaced that months ago with $25 off minimum spend $150.

  • buckscoop i reckon

Your obviously not a bargain hunter if your handing your cash over to harvey norman

      That grammar hurts my head!

  • "Portable" and "USB powered" are synonymous and therefore the latter is redundant.

    • -1

Not really, there are old USB drives out there that are considered portable but have their own power supply.

      • Key word "old", a long time ago.

        • Yep it is a key word, not redundant at all.

  • Is that a decent price for a chromecast? Not fussed about models etc just need one and don't want to wake up tomorrow to find one way cheaper lol

  • +1

Most stores sell it for $49 as its normal price. Historically it was as low as $24.50. It's available for $34-38 every now and then through various bargain. So, IMO if you really need it urgently then go for it, else wait and I'm sure you'll get it for cheaper as I've mentioned.

    • Yes you are right. In fact I picked up one today, it was listed at $49 on the shelf but scanned as $38.

  • Thanks OP, bought the hardsisk / chromecast double for $126. Waiting for notification to collect at my nearest store. Appreciate the info on how to get the $25 voucher. Worked a treat. Thanks all.

  • I just bought the hard drive alone for $113 in store. Still a good deal as I will use the $25 voucher another time and I already have a chromecast. Thanks mate!

  • The Canon printer is $33? not $19 as per this post
