    is DealsMachine a trustworthy shop?

Yeah as above, was mentioned here
and here they were spamming someone

      • Do Not buy from Dealmachine. I'm a recent victim bought a Mijue china doll mobile and it is not working when I open the box!

        http://www.dealsmachine.com/best_181264.html

Need to return back then already making a lost total about AUD$35 because they do not paid you for any postage to and from.

DON'T BUY IT FROM THEM. You can, but the risk is HUGE.

        • Agree 100%. Don't do it. I bought a mini pc off them about 8 weeks ago. To try and sum this up quickly, the package only contained the powerplug, they offered a partial refund, i declined, i opened a paypal dispute, DealsMachine responded to say it was completely their fault but needed me to close the paypal case, I refused, they have since gone dark and have stopped communicating with. I've just received an email from paypal asking me to file a police report and email it to them.

Its been an absolute headache. THEY ARE SCAMMERS!

    • Cheers mate! Happy to drop an extra $1.60 for the peace of mind. From the reviews it looks to be a pretty decent product too.

      • I am actually curious to hear a personal review about this speaker. Why? I don't know. I have a UE Boom already. Just ozbargain fever as this Xiaomi's speaker is so cheap

        • +1

I'll let you know once I receive it :D

I've done a full review on my site (check my profile). It's a solid unit - great audio quality, impressively loud and about 10 hours of battery life. I'd say it performs WAY above its price point.

        • +2

I have one, lovely little unit. really light too.
I keep it stashed in my work bag for when presentations require playing a video
Actually purchased it to take to hospital when my wife has our baby.

It's got the volume and quality to do the job and the battery life is awesome.

On top of that, the industrial design is gorgeous. almost too nice to take to picnics for risk of it getting scratched / dirty but it cleans up nicely with a wet wipe for the times I have had it on the grass and sand.

If I didnt have this, I'd look at getting the UEBoom2 as the ultimate outdoor travel speaker. But the xiaomi looks nicer and you could literally buy 6 of them for the price of one UEboom2

        • @andyfitz:

Oh lawdy one of those who has to have a certain song playing when sproglet pops out?

Go on then, which song is it?

        • @Sir Casm:

no particular song during that time just general all-sorts music for the days in the hospital.

All I know is I'm banned from acdc - playing highway to hell, or salt and pepper - push it ;-)

        • @andyfitz:

          mild kekkling

        • @Darkscythe: Nice review, thanks.

        • @Zwarzy: Glad it was helpful!

    • Banggood is trusted seller. I bought the same speaker from Banggood, after couples months the speaker cannot be charged. Contact and send video to Banggood and they refund half of the price I paid.

      • only refund half of what you paid? that's doggy!!

  • i have one - for the money they are v good!

    • What about compared to a $100 speaker? And compared to a $200 speaker?

      • +1

nowhere near $200 speaker quality but gives the $100 ones a very solid run for their money

        • +1

it's so light that any more bass in the thing and it'd just shake away like a broken washing machine. (it's not overly bassy but does well to perform the range when songs need it to be enjoyed)

        • +3

          What about a $300 speaker?

        • +1

          @pmupsinep:

If you're in that range, get the UEboom2 . From what I've read its fantastic

        • +3

          @pmupsinep: what about a $500 speaker?

        • @Jackson:

Time to next level that shit and hire a band

This would sound crazy.. but my requirement is different.. Would this have a earphone jack. I want to transfer the sound from my TV to my bed but I can only listen with headphones.
Long story short. I have a good LED TV in my bedroom but that sits idle for couple of years now. The reason is my missus doesn't enjoy watching movies much so she just wants to sleep but I want to watch when there is a good movie on TV. But I can't turn the volume.. so it's been idle for all this time.
Is there any wireless speakers that comes with earphone jack? I don't want to use massive wireless head sets. Earphone would do the job.

    • easier to get a bluetooth transmitter so you can connect a bluetooth headset

      • Sounds like an option to me. That or look at some wireless headphones that include a transmitter in the box.

Depending on the room layout, you could always possibly just run a long cable too terminating in a headphone jack to one side of the bed.

        • Yes, I tried this option by connecting two male to female extension cables. Still it could only reach the legs end of the bed. So I had to sleep in the wrong direction to use that and was not comfortable experience at all.
I expect some Chinese companies have already produced the devices that can do this as this is a practical problem and hope I am not the only one who has a wife that doesn't like watching TV from the bed. :)

        • @rmamila:

Hmm you could always resort to Netflix on your phone, or apps like Crackle. Sure you're stuck watching the smaller screen, but you can have the headphones plugged in and the room isn't lit up by the big tv, disturbing the mrs

Fetch TV can also be viewed on your phone, but you'd need to have the set top box

    • I don't understand how you want to factor this device in. Does your TV have a bluetooth transmitter already?

      • No. The TV doesn't have one.

        • What you need then is a transmitter and a receiver; this is a receiver and speaker.

Logitech sell a BT transmitter for about $40, otherwise you can get an ebay job for half that. You can get lots of BT receivers that you plug headphones into. This is a receiver: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/216920

Is the AC adaptor an Australian plug or an adaptor needed?

    • +2

It just charges off micro usb.

  • This is their recently released model also available from banggood, but its around double the price.

    http://www.banggood.com/Original-Xiaomi-Micro-SD-Aux-in-Hand…

    • Any idea if the audio quality is better, or are you just paying the the micro sd card support?
