Pack of 4 Chevron brand CFL light bulbs. Various wattages, straight and spiral. $3.98 a pack. Was $11.86.

Manager's special at Noarlunga SA BigW store, so may not be available everywhere. Also note it's for edison screw bulbs only and not bayonet. Plenty of stock.

These are all 'warm white' bulbs and give pleasant light. I have been using them for years and can verify they work well and last years.

    Mmm, indeed. Which store was it? I'm interested to see if any other BigW had the same special. BigW usually has a stack of these Chevrons, and sometimes they halve the price to clear stock. Nothing like $3.98 though.

  I've read that these light bulbs aren't good for you, it has high level of radiation because it radiates air particle to heat up the globe as oppose to normal light bulbs which has electricity running through it.

    Yep, my local Big W had the pack of six edison screw globes (three different wattages) reduced to $3.98 down from $13.94. Stocked up, won't need to buy globes for a looong time.
