    Big meh from me..

    • I was sort of hoping we'd see some big AAA release this month for the 360 to coincide with the backwards compatibility launch as well as the new UI. Something like one of the Gears of War titles that hasn't yet been made available. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to be the case. I'm sure those games are ok but neither are exactly going to ignite headlines.

im happy to try out pneuma, and dirt should be a good test of backwards compat tech. dungeon siege looks worth a shot too, just not right now when so many good titles are around.

    • My thoughts exactly. Im looking forward to pneuma because its the sort of game i would enjoy but wouldn't buy, which is what i want from games with gold and ps+

  • good timing for those of us who purchased the xbox from target ebay!

  • Absolute garbage games this month. Bah. Should also have given Halo 4 for free on 360 to promote Halo 5.

Give the Xbox 1 games a chance, stop expecting AAA games so much, expand your gaming horizons

      • Don't have to be AAA. Actually my fav games are not AAA, but something better than a walking simulator, please.

    • Never mind. Fallout 4 in under 2 weeks, Battlefront 6 days later & Just Cause 3 in a little more than a month. I could not GaS about Games with Gold once I have these in my possession.

Xbox live started as a service to allow online functionality and still is, so no, I would not say it's the whole point.

Oooh, great technicality you picked up there.

Although games were perfectly playable online before these pay services existed, so they aren't there to "allow" online functionality, they are there to force people to pay for online functionality.

My point remains. You pay for this, you get 'free' games. That's how it's been for several years, same on PlayStation. Hardly a bargain, just a normal transaction.

        • I'm trying to see it from your angle… I understand your point, but does it really matter to you if you see this post once a month? That it's a grey area between a bargain and a forum post?

    • Why? For a month instead of paying for a game, you get it free, how is that not a deal?

      • -2

        You are paying for it.

        • The service you do yes, and? look at the vast majority of things here, they're not free, you pay for them too.

    • the deal changes each month, lots of people have posted them before and will in the future, vote for the games

You pay for this, you get 'free' games. Hardly a bargain, just a normal transaction.

      • if you bought xbox live, you were using the service anyway, a free game is a free game

        • So that's why its not a deal as you already paid for the services.

        • depends on the person and the games involved…

    • It's been allowed for every other month.

        • Well, you're paying for the online portion of XBOX; which, should be free to be honest. The games are the sweetener for the monthly price.

Ah the games with gold thread, an infinite supply of forum goers dirty at missing out. "I can't get this, grumble grumble, not a bargain grumble grumble, also a closet PlayStation user grumble mumble, put it in the forums but leave the $1 junk from China posts, grumble grimble, ooh a hungry jacks voucher, MUM CAN YOU GO GET ME A BURGER……PLEASE! you forgot to add a comment about neckbeards…

  • Dirt 3 doesn't come with the VIP pass to play online? Isn't it supposed to be included? I've never 'bought' a digital game where you find out after that you have to pay extra to be able to play online..
