  • how much are these to give around $200 free.

    • They are very expensive $1200+ for the cheapest

      • Yep definitely not the cheapest running around. We have burnt through two ToysRUs ones already and I got sick of replacing them so took my medicine and handed over the cash. At least this will be the last time I have to put together a trampoline (didn't know about referral when I bought mine)

        • fair enough I guess if you want it to last, I would have thought after a few years the kids would be tired of them anyway (well thats what happened to friends that bought trampolines, kids tire of it and it sites rotting away in the backyard)

  • god damn it, literally just brought one and got it delivered. It did have free basketball hoop though that was worth $200 but would have loved someone to come build it for me.

      literally just brought one

      Where did you bring it?

      • ok, ok bought one! I had just got up when I wrote that.

just brought one and got it delivered.

      Why both?

      • It come in 3 big boxes (5 in my case with steps and basketball hoop) so didn't want the hassle of trying to fit into my car as been down that route before and for $79 was easier option.

It is clever the way they moved the springs and frame underneath.

But what they don't tell you is, the main reason these are "safer" is that they don't bounce nearly as well. Which makes it a bit less fun to me.
Though I've not heard the kids complain.

    • This is the main reason to get the Vuly Thunder. The Springfree is like a wet sponge.

Vuly Thunder is still super safe, but it is super bouncy. Plus 150kg weight limit.

      • How are old-style leaf springs any advantage over modern coil springs?
        And it is very expensive.

It has a better quality safety net than my k-mart trampoline, but thats about all.
I binned the net a couple of years ago, and no injuries yet :-)
If the trampoline was on concrete, rather than the lawn, I might be more concerned.
But you could spend $1000 on rubber mats and still be well ahead.

        • Well, I guess old style leaf springs still have many uses today.

The main benefit is a 20kg kid gets an amazing bounce from bending one leaf of the spring.
And even a large 120kg adult gets a great bounce utilising three leafs of the spring at once.

Once you bounce on the Vuly Thunder you understand that this is not like other trampolines.

          Is it worth the money?
well that is a personal choice, but I would suggest it is better value than the Springfree.

    Tramampoline!

    • Beat me to it. A few weeks ago, I actually drove past a sign on a pole that advertised a free trampoline and I instantly thought of Homer.

Anyone considering these should definately give the Vuly Thunder range a look.

They are better built, bounce better than anything short of the professional ones and just as safe. Also not the cheapest though. I have had one for 2 years, it has been used and has sat in the elements without any signs of degradation that would affect its function.

I am 6'4" and 120kg. I can jump as hard as I like and it performs superbly.

I had great service and they beat Vuly's price, making them the cheapest in Australia at the time.

    • Fair enough but seems to me they are just copying springfree's idea and the cost is about the same.
