Thanks for posting this OP, with that said, even if the price is really good, I suggest people to be cautious of this one because it's not exactly a very known memory brand. Like I said in the previous post, I don't know about this…

  • cant really comment about quality too.

Always use Patriot, Corsair or Crucial

    • Same here, I had Corsair Vengeance series of RAM and now I'm using Kingston Hyper X series so I really can't say anything about this one.

      • I will put in a good word for the Corsair Vengeance too, 32gB in an OC gaming rig for 4+ years now and not a single problem, nor a game or rendering program that it can't handle. Apparently it is enough for Google Chrome too, because I don't get the memes about it being RAM hungry, works fast and fine for me.

        • Diff experience.
Had Cosair Vengeance Pro 2 x 4gb for two years, one stick died this year.
It gives BSOD during gaming and/or browsing.
So much for the lifetime warranty, which I can not claim as the receipt is MIA.
Need extra ram for my pre-orderd Fallout 4.
Juggling between this or the 8gb SE cheap crucial's. Prob wont make much a difference in the end. /shrugs

        • @ruthlesskid:

i would get crucial over this.

          PNY is just generic stuff.

        • @ruthlesskid: that is why I buy everything online these days, the reciept is always somewhere in my email. I bought my son a handheld document scanner, so he can scan his reciepts and send them to my email, so I know where they are too come taxtime.

Could I trouble you with one more question?
Do you think my Z87-C board will be stable with Crucial DDR3L ram whilst the 4GB Vengeance Pro (1.5V) is running?
          Or
I should just run one stick of the Crucial DDR3L ram for Fallout 4?
          OR
Take another gamble with these babies?

Good advice =) waiting on my $19 all-in-one from Harvey Norman.

        • @ruthlesskid:

TBH i always like running a pair of matched sticks in my mobo's.

I would go with either option 2 or 3.

  • Great deal for the amount of RAm, but like the above posters, I am wary of an unknown brand. They do have the heat distribution fins I like though. Lifetime warranty and support, sounds good too.

    • according to the reviews, they are on par with value ram.

      Also not good for overclocking

      • and I'm out! I don't think the latency is compatible with my board anyways.

        • I think PNY is just one of those manufacturers that put generic RAM under fancy heat spreaders to make them look like high end stuff.

There is a reason why this ram is CHEAP !

put generic RAM under fancy heat spreaders

They would most likely use Hynix/Micron/Samsung chips just like every other brand. They offer lifetime warranty and are an American based company so they should be a step above generic made in china stuff.

all ram is made in china

  • Don't do it..

I ordered a month ago 32gig ddr3-1600 kit.. which arrived DOA with at least 2 modules faulty.. currently awaiting replacement..

I also had a cheap another PNY 16 gig kit ddr3-1600 kit.. which arrived today.. and guess what… just failed memtest at the standard rated setting as well…. I really don't know whether to get a replacement and just ask for my money back… currently attempt to use the kit at ddr3-1333 so I don't have to repeat the terrible experience I had with Amazon Returns…

Quality control is simply awful with PNY…

Its not worth the risk / time or effort..
