    • Hi mate, thanks for correcting the post.

  • I wonder how soon they will update the price.

  • is this any good? i might get one on the weekend?

  • Great price. I have the older version at home, and bought the 8620 for the office 3 weeks ago at Officeworks @$ 236 on price match.
Excellent scanner - duplex ADF, duplex print. Can get large separate black carts. I don't print much anyway, though do a lot of scan to email and scan to folder.
So if GG's update their price, then try OW to get 10% less against HN's price.

      Again, $25 off $187 > 10% off $187!

      Just buy from HN!

        Also, last time I checked Officeworks is a 5% price beat so 5% of $187 = $9.35.

  • great price, but note price for genuine ink is $150-$170 for the set or if you shop around I got mine from ebay genuine for $120

    • If that's the case then the genuine ink set is costing nearly as much as the printer itself is at the moment. I say the HP 950XL & 951XL ink set is $164 at Officeworks and that's for 2300 pages for the black and 1500 pages for colour. This printer is very costly to maintain. So the printer itself may be cheaper but the genuine ink for it costs a small fortune.

      • The ink cartridges that come with the new printer are reduced capacity. I remember when I bought mine the price per page was way lower than most. If this is a costly printer to maintain, then what is a cheap one ? I'm pretty happy with the one I own.

        • Well with it being a jet printer you could always check out a CISS. Can double the buy in price but if you're going to be printing a ton it's well worth it.

      • By your own data it's about 4.3 cents per page for B&W/Colour combined printing (2300/1500). And at $60 the B&W cartridge is about 2.6 cents per page. I'm fairly new to the printer game, but I would say this price range used to only available to B&W lazer printers. So it seems pretty good to me.

        Also:
        1) Generic inks are available
        2) The B&W cartridge on the OW site has "2300 Page*" up the top and then "Estimated page yield is 1500 pages" down lower. The old asterisk trick.
