From what I've read, you can't upgrade the RAM on any Macbook Air.

    • Thanks for point out, corrected

Any deal on the crucial ddr 4 8gb? Bought 1 from ebay a few weeks ago and should have bought 2 sticks instead of 1.

          @ShoppingExpress:

Thanks Rep, a bit poorer now!

  • +1

Dear experts, does it being non-ecc matter?

    • +1

Non-ECC memory is used for consumer-type desktops.

Servers and workstations use ECC memory — ECC memory being less prone to errors can detect and self-correct corrupt data. ECC memory is used in most computers where data corruption cannot be tolerated under any circumstances. Usually used only where ECC memory is a requirement of the motherboard.

  • Hi rep, any chance you can include NUC5PPYH in the NUC deals?

    • sorry i don't have stock of those to do a deal.

      • +3

Thanks for the quick response. Just for that I bought it anyway!

  • I've got a 2010 MacBook Pro which I believe can only be upgraded to 8GB ram can I use a single 8GB ram stick or do I need to get 2 4GB

  • Nice pricing on that RAM

  • Would anyone know if any of these Ram's would suit a Lenovo T410 Laptop?

Last Kingston 4G stick I purchased gave me BSOD.

    • The only RAM that I've found to work on Lenovo laptops is Crucial or Micron (I believe Crucial uses Micron chips). I've been where you are and have a heap of 4 GB Sodimms that didn't work (Kingston, Team brand).

I'll take a punt that the memory already in your laptop is one of these two brands.

      Hope this helps!

Thanks, bit the 8 gig RAM!

  • so the first one will work with mid 2010 MacBook pro? can someone confirm this and can I stick it in one of the slots and leave the current 2gb on the other will that work?
    thanks

  • Hey rep/anyone, would you be able to advise if the above Kingston 8GB DDR3 1.35V SODIMM would be compatible with my laptop? I've taken the back off and found there is one 8gb stick and one empty slot inside. Took a photo which is here, and I'm pretty sure this is the same RAM here. To me it looks compatible but I'm mid-exams so I want to make sure my brain is working.

    • is your laptop a toshiba p50t?

      • Nope, a C50-C016 :) Can't really find it even exists except for at Dick Smith

    • +2

Kingston 8GB DDR3 1.35V SODIMM <== yes that's the same voltage 1.35v as the ram in your photo attached

      • +1

thanks rep, may bite the bullet a bit later

  • Any deals on 14" laptop. If yes I will PM specs.

    • Send me a PM

I think the Kingston 1.5v RAM is what I need for my Alienware Alpha. Can anyone confirm please? (looking to replace the 4gb in there now with something higher)

    • +1

Hey I am an alienware user too. Yes You can upgrade with these ram buT I reckon 1.5v.

  • Thanks for the RAM OP!

  • Hey rep, just want to confirm does the 1.35V DDR ram (number 2) work on the fifth gen i5/i7 NUCS? It's not specifically listed on the page so I want to make sure before I purchase, thanks!

    • Yes it works for all nucs.

  • Dear Rep and Ozbargain fellows, does the first one will work on a Mid 2010 Macbook Pro 13"? I've read so many discussions but there is no consistent conclusion. Thanks so much for your sharing!

    • It should work with all models on the page i linked. If you got issues, send me a PM to arrange refund.

  • Will 'Kingston 8GB DDR3 1.35V SODIMM for Notebook/NUC/Brix' work with Late Mac Mini 2012 ?

  • Will the Kingston 8GB DDR3 1600 1.5V SODIMM automatically downclock to 1066/1333mhz?

Will this require reconfiguring BIOS setting or is it automatic default behaviour?

    I have a Asus N61Jq with Hynix 4GB DDR3 1066Mhz 1.5v sodimm
    has i7 Processor 720QM :Turbo Boost up to 2.80 GHz ;
    Intel® HM55 Express Chipset

    I have tried DDR3 1600Mhz 1.35v Sodimm but notebook wouldn't boot - maybe needed a BIOS tweak?

    • What was the previous capacity you tried and didn't work?

      • 2 x 4GB DDR3L 1600Mhz 204pin 1.35v Sodimm

        • +1

Thanks for the PM SE, unfortunately I sent the Ram back so can't do further error checks .. which means I'm real keen to buy from this deal :-)
Shame the Kingston ram configurator http://www.kingston.com/en/memory/desktop-notebook
doesn't list my Asus N notebook model >.<

Seems like another Ozbargainer Cwongtech according to this WP thread
          http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/1933176
didn't have problems with low voltage ram with his N61Jq a few years ago! hmm
.. and good to know he got his Ram at a bargain price like a true Ozbargainer should hehe

  • Which would be compatible with a Lenovo g570 (4334) ?

I know the max it takes is 8gb but not sure if it can do one stick of 8gb or has to be split across 2x 4gb

Also read some places only DDR3 1333 (10600) is compatible but other places have advised DDR3 1600 (12800) will work

    Thanks

    • the i5-2410M one? in Intel ark they said that it would support 16gb ram. But since it is 4 years old now and not a premium one in its days 8GB would be enough for bring it back to its glory days.

better to go with 2x4GB as it would enable dual channel hence faster speed. but 1 8GB will surely work.

Normally 1600 would downclock to 1333 automatically.. I mean normally.

valueRAM is not a good sign.. still you got what you paid for.. Waited for this moment for you guys to make it cheaper and now I can clear the cart in US amazon..

  • Considering buying a 4GB SO-DIMM stick for my laptop: is the Kingston one listed here good value, or are there other 4GB RAM modules worth buying? e.g. http://www.msy.com.au/nsw/kingsford/246-laptop-ram lists several 4GB modules for just a few more dollars.

  • Awesome, Just Bought

  • Will "Kingston 4GB DDR3 SODIMM for Notebook" work for Macbook Pro 13-inch mid 2012?

  • Hi Store Rep/others.

My brother is in the market for a new, budget laptop. Mostly uses for MS office, videos, surfing etc but wants something a step up from a chromebook.

Asus laptop (item 4) looks like a great option.

    Any thoughts/feedback/reviews?

    Cheers

    • +1

item 4 will satisfy & exceeds your above-mentioned requirements.

  • Is this compatible with my Acer Aspire ES1-4V notebook? I ran a crucial scan "app" on it and memory required is:
    "8Gb DDR3 PC3-12800, unbuffered non-ECC, 1.35V, 1024 Meg X 64"

    Thanks

  • Hi Rep, yesterday I bought the i5 fourth gen NUC with the 16gb ram from this offer, but did not realise I needed a wifi card, as the more expensive fifth gen i5 includes wireless.
    INVOICE #: N00255294

Could you do a deal for the wireless card? My order has already been dispatched I was told.
