Purchase Dyson DC54 'Animal' Barrel Vaccum for $898 & Pay $1 for Dyson DC45 Stick Vacuum @ Harvey Norman

40

It's on Harvey Norman catalogue
1. $898 for dyson DC54 'Animal' barrel vacuum cleaner plus just pay $1 for the dyson DC45 stick vacuum then get efpos gift card $90
2. Or pay $998 for Dyson DC54 ' Animal complete' vacuum cleaner and pay just $1 for the dyson DC45 stick vacuum then get efpos gift card $100 and Includes 9 accessories.

Personally, I bought the $898.00 package after have a chat with a Dyson specialist that I met yesterday at HN store told me that it's no different between this package and $998 package, it's only have 3 extra tools which is soft dusting, flexi crevice tool and stubborn dirt brush but We got the flexi crevice tool from DC45 anyway.
So i picked the $898.00 package and $1 extra for DYson DC45 stick = $900 - $90 (gift card) = $820 .

Then I bargained with one of the guy at HN store , he gave me $890 for both DC54 'Animal' plus DC45 , then $90 efpos gift card , bring it down to = $800 for both.

  • Not quite as good as the Good Guys deal earlier this year where I paid $800 for the Animal Pro + DC45.

Pro tip on the DC45 - if you vacuum up the bread tags, your life will become a nightmare.

    • What happens with the bread tags?

      • +1

They get stuck in the head of the vacuum and then all the dirt starts to build up. It's not very easy to get out.

  • I was about to buy a DC54 after being impressed with the V6 stickvac, but the reviews are terrible.

  • In the market for a new vacuum cleaner….is this a good deal or wait till Boxing Day? Are the DC54 and DC45 good cleaners?

Edit: Just read the reviews, it's kinda horrific :|

    • Picked up a new Milele Complete C3 Turbo from HN last week. Special offer… $499 less $25 if you sign up to their email ads and order online (pickup), less $50 Eftpos card (can be used anywhere within 12 months).. Total paid $424. The deal also includes 4 boxes of genuine bags (16) worth $80.
The C3 Turbo is the same as the Cat & Dog one except it is around $30 cheaper and the filter is cheaper to replace.

      • I had been reading about the C3 Miele. Might look into the Turbo then, I do have two dogs though.

        • Identical to the cat & dog version… except it uses the cheaper filter. Quality machine, does a great job, built to last.

  • HN @ Domayne had a better deal last Wednesday night during their V.I.P night.
Got the $998 Package plus the DC45 for $1 with an extra 20% off.
Total Kit for $801 minus the $100 Eftpos gift card = $701

    • Why didn't you post the deal? This is what I'm after.

      • Sorry Kevsta89, the deal was posted originally by another member - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/217114.

        • Any chance of posting the receipt? Wouldn't mind having a go price matching.

If anyone is buying this, I'm prepared to pay $2 for the DC45! ;)

    • Wow you are paying 100% more than what the original purchaser paid. Pretty good offer I think.

      • Exactly - although I'm expecting other professionals to swoop in and offer 3, maybe 4 dollars!

  • We have 2 furkids and the DC54 does a amazing job, but it can be a bit awkward to empty and lacks the capacity of a bag vac. Decided to retire the miele upright after realising it cant compete.
