  • I've picked up 2 of these for $499, one from Harvey Norman and one from the good guys, great Tv, but the price isn't spectacular

    • Hi, is it in Syd? can you attach the receipt…keen to get one if 499..

    • The la32b350 has fewer hdmi inputs than the la23b450
      3rd series vs 4th series

    • You sure it wasn't the 3 series that was on sale on boxing day

      • Forgot to mention, this is 4th series Samsung

  • Are you sure you get same model on $499 in Good Guys, I just called Rockdale Good Guys for this price, they can not offer $499. could you tell me which store offered you such price, then I can buy one.
    thanks.

  • Model LA32B450 (can we get a confirm on that G_Man?) is $698 at The Good Guys.

Decent deal if you pick up. It's $50-$110 shipping (ie $650-$710 total) depending on what state and area of the country. Probably not great if you require shipping, what with DOA warranty issues and of course the wait in getting the product.

The all caps and never to be repeated claims seem to be a bit excitable :P

I am in the market but considering what others have gone through i would be staying away from Topbuy

for me ths history is relavant when making a purchase

    • Nice point.

Also, G_Man caps don't help your cause.

    • Wow, they indeed are dodgy~

Yeah, you get daily spam from Topbuy and so hard to unsubscribe.

Did anybody get $499 TV from good guy or harvey norman, $599 is good price anyway but only half day left for the promotion price, I want to get one, I purchased dozens of orders from topbuy.com.au and their eBay store, all my orders arrivaled quick and safe, for me, topbuy is trusted.

    • No offence, but your very first comment just came out today. Are you associated with Topbuy by any chance?

Good work, Mr detector, I joined OZbargain since fed 2009, and it is my first post, I am a customer of Topbuy.com.au, I am male, if you need more info about me, call me.

    • I don't have much issue with TopBuy either.. b ought a few things from them in the past 2 years.
I missed out on the Nintendo DS Lite just before Christmas due to their error however..

  • "NEVER BE REPEATED" ??
Well, I guess not on a series 4 because it's quite old.
Newer models will be this price soon though.
Out with the old, in with the new.

  • not full hd = sucks

On a 32" screen, it really doesnt matter
On a larger screen I agree full HD, but at this size, sitting a few meters back, you will NOT notice the difference

  • Don't like Topbuy - besides why should I buy a 32inch 1080i for $599 these days?
I bought my Sharp 32inch (Aquos LC32D33X) from good guys for the same price (back in 2008)

I don't know the advantage of this 4th Series but it cannot be better than a same sized Panasonic Plasma (TH-32LRT12A_TUHD1000)

Check http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/21697 - GraysOnline selling them for $549 (with free delivery plus a HD settop box). Currently they are out of stock, but will have re-stock very soon

    Both TVs' got same config:
    - Screen Size(Diagonal) 32-inch (801 mm)
    - Aspect ratio 16:9
    - Effective Display Area(WxH ) 698 x 393 mm
    - Resolution(HxV) 1,366 x 768 pixels
    - Brightness 450 cd/㎡
    - Contrast 3,000:1

SORRY G_Man, nothing personal but I DON'T like topbuy after http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/20250

Why advertise it as having Full HD tuner when the display is not Full HD

    • Because digital television comes as SDTV (e.g. 9) and HDTV (e.g. 90)
Early set top boxes could only get SDTV and not HDTV, which means you cant watch the HD channels
The description is factual and not misleading in any way.

      • +1

I understand. But HD will be sufficient, why "Full" HD?

  • wonder if its aussie stock or grey import

  • +1

He he he… not sure about the "never to be repeated" bit ????

Re HD..>>> Because a tv does not have to be HD to receive a HD signal, all you need is the HD tuner. Two different things. One is resolution and the other is the ability to convert the signal.

  • Nice price, shame about the $150 postage to the Top End!

I had checked with TopBuy. All Samsung TVs they got are OZ Stock. Which are with Local Samsung Warranty. All Samsung TVs with Warranty Card inside.
