Seems a good price for a Panasonic 65" FHD, with 100hz and built-in WiFi. It only has 2 HDMI inputs though which might put some buyers off. When factoring the value of the cash card its a $2k TV.

Eftpos cash card is by redemption, redemption form must be received by Betta by no later than 10 December 2015

  • FHD. No love

    2k for a 1080p screen? LOL

    • Id rather pay $2K for a 65" FHD screen, than $2K for a 55" UHD screen - why lose 10" (which is a massive difference) to get pixels that 99% of content out there wont even take advantage of ?

  • Didn't realise its FHD until reading the description, pity…if it was a 4k then it would seem like a good deal.

Is all this FHD hate gimmicky or genuine belief a UHD TV will last long enough to actually take proper advantage of it?

    • If you are going to be paying UHD prices, it's kinda a mute debate. Let alone Panasonic is unfortunately pretty average in TV's these days.

      • Perhaps. That said… I have seen plenty of average UHD tv's i would not swap my FHD Plasma for though.

Edit: Panasonic are average now? I have not kept up the past few years. Their Plasma's were brilliant before.

        • I have a couple Panasonic Plasmas and have relegated one to a bedroom and the other (last one built in Japan) is lying around useless atm). I agree, infinitely better than LEDs, but unfortunately aren't big enough in my setups (long distance sitting). If you could readily buy 75" Plasmas for a comparable price still I know what I'd be buying. Picture is light years better in my eyes.

No amount of tweaking Sony or Samsung 4Ks gets them near a good Plasma.

Panasonic were late into the LED game, playing catchup now. Unlike being the leader in Plasmas.

  • Betta is on Cash Rewards BTW.

  • Hard to justify given you could pick up a 65 inch UHD Panasonic TV at the recent good guys eBay sale for around the same price.
