I guess JV is not commenting on this because he is just too negative

  • Are these two the exact same product?

    http://www.dicksmith.com.au/camera-accessories/eneloop-quick…

I mean the model numbers are different but I dont see what they do differently.

    • Similar but not the same. One is Panasonic brand, the other is Sanyo brand, so the Sanyo one must be old stock from before Panasonic bought Sanyo.

The Sanyo one is probably the MQR06W model, if so the outermost two slots can be used as "fast charge" slots, charging your batteries in one hour instead of two. In my opinion, a one-hour charge is pushing the batteries too hard, and is likely to shorten the life of your batteries. You can avoid it though, just make sure you don't use the outer slots without also using the inner slots.

      • Thanks. Might just go for the newer panasonic one then.

        • hi, a bit off topic… noticed you made a good comment regarding the differences in studio ghibli blu-rays a while ago; can i ask how the madman versions compare, particularly with subtitle quality? thanks

        • +1

          @Charity:

This is one place that has plenty of news and reviews for blurays. The madman would be listed under the Aus one. I think we're generally the same as the UK copy. Shame that a few titles dont have more info. I know theres another site somewhere with more info but I always seem to lose that section despite having it bookmarked, however that freakish reality works.

listed as $21.22 on their battery page, but comes up as $39.98 when added to cart :(

EDIT: Working now, cart just updated itself with $21.22. Thanks OP.

How did you get to update the cart, it still shows 39$ for me.

    Completely over the DS BS!!!
I know my local store physically has these on the shelf.

Also, I was told in store a couple of weeks ago when making a purchase that the store will not match the online pricing… regardless of it not actually being an 'online only' special!
I told the manager to kiss my @$$, I'm going to JB.

Dicked around again, showing 39. Keep your batteries dick

Hi, anyone has any luck with click and collect? The price $39.98 and $6 off with the coupon code above.

  • Rouge is last of the Eneloop made in JAPAN?

    • You can buy Japan made Panasonic Eneloop on EBay from Japan based sellers.

      • Thanks. Are they around $20 for a pack of 8?

        • ~$38 AUD delivered.

        • @Stevesie76: thats about the same RRP DSE here? Why bother?

        • You can't buy the Forest Tones colors at DSE ;-) Otherwise, not much point - I'm not not suggesting they are good value, but referring to your original question.

        • +1

@Stevesie76: yeah good to know there is still Japanese made eneloop out there if I am desperate for one and willing to pay $38 for 8. Thanks

I suspect this isn't a deal, since we can't seem to get the $21.22 price.
The search page shows that price (which is from the search.dicksmith.com.au subdomain), but the actual Rouge x8 AA page shows up as $39.98.

Couldn't get the cart to update to $21.22, like @bashprompt did, has anyone been able to actually complete the purchase for $21.22 ($18.04 with coupon)??

  • Arghhhhh the fustration! I'm not buying eneloops at the moment, but it seem Dickies needs to fix their site. When you search for something, the list of search results shows the discounted price but when you open up the item its gone back to full price, so any 15% off discount is going to end up more expensive than their 'sale' price.

I wonder if they knew about it, their call centre is only open on Mon - Fri.

    • Same thing happening here with the pricing difference on the list versus the actual item when viewed.

Agreed that DS need to fix their site, but I have found that if you are logged in and add items to your cart one one day that has the sale price and no vouchers for money off, I was able to keep it in my cart until the next day or subsequent days and get 20 off the JBL Flip 3 speaker. bringing that sale price down to 79.87.

This was a click and collect and had the hardest time getting this processed to my local store. Ordered last Saturday and after numerous attempts to contact DS it was ready to collect on Wednesday. Only way I found to contact DS and actually get a response was through Facebook message.

PS My rogue eneloops are still sitting in the cart at the 21.22 price they were the other day haven't tried applying today's voucher for 15% off

  • Didn't work for me, only 6 bucks off their bullshit price.

  • Now $39.98 on the search page too.

As I always suggest, if you are desperate & can't wait for a good deal on Eneloops, Aldi have both AA & AAA 4 packs of LSD rechargeables for $5.99. They work great.

  • tried on diff items, big15off not working
