    $496 @ GGs

But without the bonus prints (~$15-$20 worth), and without the HN $25 off (email subscribe)

    • Pulled the trigger before your newsletter reminder!
mmm was thinking about the 18-140 as well - $25 might just get through SWMBO

    • Missed the Officeworks deal so I decided to buy from TGG and make a claim on the 30 day price guarantee using the Officeworks catalogue.
      https://www.thegoodguys.com.au/30-day-price-guarantee

If successful, 120% of the price diff should bring it down to $380 before cashback.

        2nd step:

We will verify the price is current and that the item is available for immediate sale and delivery

Good luck, but if they're OOS you may be SOOL ;)

      • Lucky for me last Thursday evening TGG on Mile End, SA, did a price match for me. I called the store in advance and one of the tech guys checked the OW site when I asked a price match on the OW catalogue price and he couldn't see it on the site. I told him to look up OW catalogue and he did and saw it. He was going like "Wow! That price is nuts. Well, it's our policy to price match so we'll do it." I got there at 6 pm (Thursdays being the 9:00pm closing day of the week) and I got it for $398. As soon as I got home I lodged my application through Nikon promotions site and it went through successfully. :)

  • Was $298 at Officeworks the other day including the cashback (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/218965).

yeh OP mentioned that, as well as how it was a phantom deal

      • Nope, not a phantom deal - I picked one up at Officeworks Cranbourne VIC.
They were fairly scarce though although the guy at Officeworks QV Melbourne reckoned they hadn't received their stock yet (as of yesterday) so may still have a chance.

        • You guys are lucky then, I was one of the first people to see the deal after TA posted it, but still wasnt able to get one, I live in Melbourne. Currently doing exams so didnt have time to make trips to the city etc.

        • @Teal: Hi Teal, yes, I feel lucky on this. It was for my daughter. We had decided to go to TGG for a price match/beat on Friday night so as to be sure of getting the $100 cash back as we couldn't see Officeworks listed on the Nikon website but anyway to cut a long story short I was thinking the price was too good and phoned my local OW store (Narre Warren) to check if it was in stock. This was 7:30 am. All sold out !, so started phoning others…only one left was in Cranbourne so my wife went down to pick it up. Interesting thing was that it had been on hold for another customer who hadn't picked up in the timeframe they said so he said he'd hold it for me.
I also phoned Nikon to see if OW were part of the cashback deal and they confirmed they were.
Although I won't be purchasing another I still reckon it's worth phoning QV store as the guy was sure they were getting stock.

        • @theclearout:

Glad you were able to get it for your daughter :)

I have been searching fruitlessly for a camera as a gift to my girlfriend's sister, been having a rough week, and after a horrible exam on thursday, found that I had just missed the restocks that were available around me because I had that exam in the morning. Then some bs excuses from JB not doign price matches with OW, and a slew of other problems :P

Appreciate the help, I'll give QV a call tmr, I hope if they do have some they will be able to hold it for me for a few days, as I am stuck in exam mode still.

          again thanks theclearout

      • I got one,as did another guy picking up from my local store at same time as me.

      • I got one from my local too :)

I ordered it from OW online in the following morning when I saw the deal, and got it delivered same day afternoon at free of charge. How phantom was it? I only felt so easy to get it.

      • I actually managed to pick up two (not broden, one was for me and one for my colleague who was called back for a meeting when we were in line).

body only at digidirect at $447. HN deal is still better than this, as it has $100 lens included.

Agreed - with the f/1.8 35mm the bloody thing sees in the dark. Got the 18-140mm during the eBay 20% off - $340 from The Good Guys. So for $740-odd have a great all round outfit.

      • That's a good price

  • Go to JB Hi-Fi get the price match. Some of the stores have lower cost than Officeworks. Havey Norman and The good guys said its below their cost.

  • I'll buy one if it comes with a bonus $200 gift card rather than 200 Bonus Prints.

  • Just got approved by Nikon. "Please allow up to 28 days for the funds to appear in your nominated account". All online and seamless.

    • Cashback arrived 24th

      • Just got my email saying confirmed 'll is good.

Up to 28 days to receive Cash back?

  • Went to purchase this deal this morning and the site showed $597 and now $547. Does anyone know what's going on here? it was $497 yesterday. Thanks community
