      Mine was shipped from Melbourne. Perhaps they have shipped whatever they had and run out of stock and waiting for a new shipment from DELL.

    Still processing. Called up yesterday and got onto two equally unhelpful customer service reps. One told me there the Microsoft store had an error and I would have to wait 48 hours for the store to come back online which sounded like a load of wank, the second person told me that they had no way of tracking what was going on with the order and that it was all up to the couriers to supply them with delivery information and thus they couldn't tell me when the laptop was arriving or where it was currently. They asked me to call back on Monday if the laptop didn't arrive to request for a refund of the express delivery fee

      Just rang customer support, will hear back in 24 hours they are supposedly escalating it to someone higher up. Which tells me nothing

      Just called as well, I got the same thing as you Kashmir, they've escalated it to someone higher and I should be expecting a call within 24-48hrs. The help tech let slip something about the store being out of stock for the laptop so I'm not sure if we're gonna be waiting a week or a month.
      First telstra, now microsoft I'm pretty frustrated with dealing with these huge companies that don't seem to give a crap about customer service

    Received mine today and had a play with it. The lid is plasticky compare to my solid 5+ yo Dell XPS 1640 Intel Centrino 2 but no issue running Win 10 (SSD hdd ofcourse). Keyboard is not backlid which I wish it has. I'm now tossing if I should return it. Have 14 days to decide.

      hi is yours i5 5200u or 5250u and what’s said on the box. mine says inspiron 15 5000 model 5558. i can not check it right now

    guys got mine says i5 5200u on the box is it right？should not be i5 5250u？as 5250 come with intel 6000, 5200 come with intel 5500. have not check display says 15.6 hd on the box.thinking of return if not intel 6000

      Mine says 5200u. As for the black border around the bezel, this is how the LCD panel is made. When you turn on the laptop and look closely at the screen edge, you could see the black border is not part of the backlid display area. I'm returning mine.

    ok just went home, check by myself. it is i5 5250U and interl hd 6000 from the system info. (the outside box shows i5 5200U), screen is at 1920x1080 res at default, so i guess it is full hd, however the box shows 15.6 hd anyway. about the border or bezel thing, not brother me, i do not understand the difference and i am ok with it. my machine just have little display leaking when on black, but i think i can live with it. so i decide to keep it.
    it is heavy, no keyboard backlit, but other than that i am ok with it. going to change ssd soon. hope everyone happy with it .

      is that 5558 model comes with DVD RW or 5548 model. Seems like microsoft is not sure as well.

      do you also have gap between LCD and panel? Mine have gap on 2 sides between LCD and Panel. not sure if it's by design or faulty.

      I bought one for my mum. Safe to say it's a desktop replacement for her, with portable ability if required.
