    They recooped heaps last year

      and a lot of it was how they allocated their profit. It was carefully shifted into their loyalty arm, Qantas Frequent Flyer through internal charges and accounting. Even though that program wouldn't exist without the airline…

      I suspect it's because they wanted to try poor and get govt loans at the time.

  Air NZ are doing a deal to LAX for $950 and Virgin for $870 combined with the purchase of a land tour or activity. Worth a look also

    Good deal with Air NZ with travel dates including June. But do you have a link for Virgin? Virgin flights to LAX are $1198 but the travel period is mid Jan to mid March.

  Seems like delta/virgin have flights for ~$920 in July.

  So, definitely isn't the cheapest for those dates, but may be for the earlier dates.

  NOTE: I'm looking at LAX as opposed to SFA as it is generally where people want to fly into.

  Booked mine in 21st August 2016 to 13th October 2016. Got it price matched from BestJet.com, so Qantas refunded me the difference and gave me an additional 1000 QFF points, bringing the total down to $925.66 :)
