  • Anyone else getting the 'code you entered cannot be applied' error at checkout?

    Getting it on this:

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/WD-Elements-WDBWLG0030HBK-3-TB-3-…

which is part of the deal

    • I guess it is not from selected stores.

      • the 20% off and code is in the title.. don't know if it's just estore… tried a few different ones without luck

    • JB has the 5TB WD Elements for $229 in its current (green) catalogue. p19
      http://www.tiendeo.com.au/Catalogues/melbourne-vic/126658&su…

    • Same here!

I tried to buy a GARMIN Vivosmart from disk smith and see

"SAVE A FURTHER 20% OFF (MAX $1000) USING CODE CXMASTECH"

in the title, but couldn't apply the code with the message:

"This coupon isn't eligible to use on at least one item in your order"

      Product link: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/262089551823?euid=c6497d90d8bf463…

      • I am also having the exact same issue. On eBay chat at the moment and they have so far been unable to fix this :/

    • Exactly the same issue for me on eStore.

    • I bought an Elements a few months ago and it was DOA, really hesitant now :/

Any good recommended fan for bedroom/living room as we r getting ready for summer?

  • +1

Wtf is there ANOTHER new 3DS out??

    • That came out start of the year.

    • There's a couple of themed ones, but they're the same consoles that launched late last year.

      • I mean this one http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-NEW-Nintendo-3DS-XL-Console-B…

Oh well ordered the one that was in stock. Might try to swap it for the newer one instore.

        • Haha the new = not used and the other new ="new" by how Nintendo brands its product.

        • +1

It's the same as last years, just the name's incredibly poor and Target hasn't helped anyone by putting "New New" in the title.

        • @Smigit: I ordered it!! :) but they aren't selling the bloody charger to go with it on the eBay store which is just irritating…

        • @knick007: That sucks. Hope you enjoy it, we got the same one from Big W today under this sale.

If you want to save some money and are happy to wait, people sell the charging cables on USB pretty cheap (from memory about 2 or 3 dollars) with a USB terminating end that you can plug into any USB adapter you have sitting about. I don't have a link to any handy, but they should be easy enough to come by and even if you get the AC adapter, might be worth grabbing as a backup.

        • @Smigit: I was completely happy to pay for it as well. I organised to collect it from my local woolies. I'd have preferred to do it all in one transaction.

If it is a mini or micro USB I'll have a cable somewhere

        • @knick007: Unfortunately the DS has a proprietary cable for the end that plugs into the console, it's not a standard USB connecotr. The cables I referred to have the DS end point on one end and a USB socket at the other which allows you to plug it into a computer or existing USB wall adapter to charge.

  • Thanks OP, picked up a Samsung Galaxy S5 white for $487 delivered, from the Good Guys. Slighty better than the BigW special last week.

    • -1

Why didnt you buy from me?
I only sold 420 in July.
Looking for S6 deal or note 5
Cheapest S6 is 535 for your reference only

      • +2

I can't even understand your post, why would I buy from you?

        • -3

What I am saying is 487 is not a deal for S5 at all.

I sold my brand new sealed in box in July for 420.
There are heaps of stocks on gumtree, signed with Telstra deal and AU stock unlocked.

Cheapest S6 last time for ebay 20 % down to 535.
There is no good mobile deal this time really.

  • Argh forgot the cashrewards!
could TA do something for placed orders? :p

All lenses in the deal: http://www.ebay.com.au/sch/i.html?_odkw=lens&_saslop=1&_sasl… note: Some companies (who knows why) list lenses under other sections such as "photographic accessories" (canon 17-40mm f4.0 L from good guys) so you can change it for cameras/etc.

    Some canon full frame lenses:

    50mm 1.8 STM http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Canon-EF5018ST-EF-50-f-1-8-STM-Le… $129 + shipping on staticice (from overseas?). This deal: 135 + 5 shipping.

85mm 1.8 USM http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Canon-EF-85mm-f1-8-USM-/121745489… Not bad, they sell for ~350+shipping used, this deal: ~400 new + shipping.

    100mm macro 2.8 http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Canon-EF-100mm-f2-8-Macro-USM-/12… New ~600 +shipping (from overseas?). This deal: 520+shipping.

    Some high end stuff:

    • Do you get GST invoice shopping from Teds on eBay? Im travelling next month so would seal the deal if I could claim GST

      • No idea, I'd guess so but contact them directly (phone?) or search google. Maybe someone here knows :)

        • +1

I'm sure you will get a separate full tax store invoice? That's what I got when I purchased my Oppo R7 Plus from dicky (back then with 20% off eBay that works)

      • Yes, I bought many times frpm Teds ebay store.

    • They removed 3 of them, just as I was going to check out…

      • Damn that sucks, I can't edit the post anymore either lol. Hopefully there will be another deal around christmas or boxing day.

      • that's TED for ya!

        • Ebay should be able to slap on 5% negative feedback for pulling items using the "there is an error in this listing" option, when there wasn't any error.

  • Gopro Hero 4 Silver from TGG $399 after discount: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/141496082493

  • What are people's thoughts on Sony Australia Refurb tv's vs new.

For me a minor imperfection is fine - a dead / stuck pixel is not (and I know that in the physical Sony clearance stores there was a statement that there would be less than X pixels faults).

Current pricing with this deal on the refurbs is looking very nice (as is the Good Guys pricing)

Thanks OP, bought Fallout 4 from Bing Lee.

No outstanding deals with the 23% off for me sadly…most products I'm interested in are conveniently "out of stock" or removed. I'm MOSTLY looking at you, Target.

  • Thanks! Fridge and TV on its way. First time I've used Cash Rewards. Anyone know how long it could take to show up in my account?

    • which fridge did you get?

      • Westinghouse 700L side by side. It is the maximum LxWxH we can fit.

Also, does anyone know if TGG will do the 30 price beat on their ebay store?

      • I will hopefully get the Westinghouse $200 eftpos card promo too :)

    • I thought about getting a fridge too. Do you know with the delivery, whether they will install and help you remove the old one?

      • Doubt it. My wife called up and they are delivering tomorrow. I expect them to at least bring it into the kitchen for me. Should be easy enough to remove box and roll the fridge off the base cardboard I'd imagine. Most fridges have wheels at the back I think.

  • Too lazy to post a deal so i'll just comment here for anyone who sees it:

    Black ops 3 = $53.13 delivered after 20% off & 3% cash rewards

    PS4: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/172010418344
    PC: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-Call-Of-Duty-Black-Ops-3-PC-/…
    Xbox One: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-Call-Of-Duty-Black-Ops-3-Xbox…

    Edit: PS4 sold out.

  • Anyone else notice that the "GoPro" store featured & linked in this sale has an ebay score of 0 ? ie ZERO sales of any kind.
    http://stores.ebay.com.au/goprocertifiedau/

    Possible fake?

    • It can not be "fake" if it is supported by eBay.com.au

      • Yes, eBay also support 19% price increase by retailer during retail period.

        • Nothing in t&c's says they need to keep the prices the same, yes it's just morally wrong.

But if it is a fake shop then ebay should not allow it as it is fraud/copyright against some sort of brandis copyright act.

And Sony removed a heap of stuff from their camera range… Sigh.

    BEFORE: http://cl.ly/dvX2
    AFTER: http://cl.ly/dvJ5

    • was looking at the same item, looks like this is the only item they have pulled… just happens to be the only item I was interested in :-(

      • +2

It was sold out and now relisted: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/281868306654?_trksid=p2060353.m14…

Although I would recommend brand new from Teds at $2,099 which gets about 23% discount (ebay plus cashrewards) and $200 giftcard from Sony.

        • The cashback has expired.

Relisted at a higher price… these jokers are hilarious!

        • @pinchies: which cashback you are referring to? Listings for Sony A7 II are stil there: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/121745489346?_trksid=p2060353.m14…

EDIT: Just saw. They raised the price to $1,954 from $1,609 for Refurbished listing at Sony eBay. They must be joking!! Pathetic! Why pay that when you can get brand new camera for cheaper?

I asked Sony Australia through eBay and they confirmed their refurbished ebay items are not eligible for $200 gift card promo.

        • @Pripan77: Since Sony is only camera company that making serious profit, they are a bit arrogant right now.

    • All camera listings from Sony are 'Manufacturer refurbished'. The prices are not good at all for second hand electronics.

  • No Zombie Army Trilogy PS4/Xbox1 deals :(
    Shame

Keep an eye out this weekend for the PSN BF digital sale. No idea if ZAT will be in it, but it might be and it's been discounted before.

  • am i seeing doubles… i thought i saw the hi res kindle paperwhite as around $200 mark from the good guys (i think) the other day… but now it's $270~? anyway i am after a new NOOK ereader since it is said to be easy to root/mod. but can't find any listings from these 20% discounters… proly i am noob in searching ebay…

  • What's with the Good Guys shipping. It says $5 shipping, but when I add to cart and try to check out, shipping is something stupid like $35…

    • Yeah I had the same thing, $5 postage in the ad, $9 and change at the checkout.

WARNING ON MASTER'S PRICE MATCH GUARANTEE!!!

I bought a Westinghouse fridge from Masters for $1599 delivered a week ago and now I see it on The Good Guys eBay page for $1409.43 delivered after 20% off. So I gave Masters a call to apply their Best Price Guarantee. Surprisingly they say it is not applicable as the price I quoted is not The Good Guys' advertised price due to the fact that I have to enter in a discount code.

None of this was explicitly written in their terms & condition. It all hinges off the statement:

only to see it advertised at a lower price somewhere else

    • +4

Terms are very clear. The discounted price is being advertised by Ebay, not TGG.

    • +6

that's usually the case with any price match guarantee, it's on advertised price and any store specific promotion/discounts/vouchers used don't count

      • -5

I see your point, but from a Customer's perspective, the "spirit" of the guarantee is so you don't feel like you missed out on a deal. Right now that's exactly how I'm feeling so I would say the intention of the guarantee has back-fired.

        • +2

The intention of the guarantee is to convince you to buy today, not tomorrow. On that basis, the guarantee has absolutely worked.

    • The problem with the ebay promotion is that you pay 80% of the price and ebay covers the 20% of the total, no difference to the store such as Masters, you still get a receipt for the total $1599.

  • Thx you just saved me $74

  • Had been eyeing the Netgear Arlo for a while and this tipped me over the edge to get one

Bargain! 4.9 out of 5 on product review.

I have the white one. Really happy with it!

  • Code isn't working when trying to purchase the Logitech K830 keyboard from estore

    • Code is not working on eStore

      full stop?

Not working for some monitors I'm pricing.

    • I have the same experience when purchasing a wireless router from estore.

  • I was looking at getting a Synology NAS from MWave. Their website has the DS415+ at $668, their eBay store is $788.24, that's $120 more expensive! That's such a rip off! How does eBay allow it?

    • The prices are generally just the same price + ebay's cut. Stores aren't (most of the time) going to sell the same item at the same price because they make less if sold on ebay - and on low overhead products such as tech there's often no room for doing so.

      • Nice try - i know eBay has its fees, but you couldn't possibly try to argue that eBay's cut is $120 on a $700 item!

  • Tried searching on my phone but couldn't locate anything. Does anyone know if any sellers have the new star wars edition ps4 controller? $99 retail at the moment and wanted to pick one up, but if I can save 23%, I'd be that little bit happier.

  • +1

How are BigW, Target considered Tech but PCCG and OW aren't ?

  • -1

Hi All, can you use the 20% discount AND pay with / use a $50 ebay voucher from their recent 'spend $100, get $50 voucher' promo? Thanks

    • No. Only 1 code applies. If you try and claim $100 after you put in the discount, it'll go back to full price

      • Thanks krisspy.

Guess I have to find something else to buy!

  • Any good deal on hard disks? Even with 20% off I can't find any.

    • I had a look, once shipping got added on it was no cheaper than what I can find elsewhere.

  • I am looking at getting an all-round Desktop PC for the family. Mostly for web browsing, watching movies, MS Office and photo editing/viewing.

Are either of these worth getting or would an MSY deal be better?
