      • No idea mate. The reviews are pretty good though.

      But didn't vote.

      • Sorry i just forgot to vote.

      • +1

That is how you secure the deal. Can do upvotes and comments later. Snag the deals first.

  • took me 30 mins to process but I got them :)

    • +2

Not until they're in your hands….

  • Not impressed at all with the 10:00 and 11:00 deals at all. Not that I was able to get any of the 9:30 ones anyway.

  • +3

Congratulations on all those who managed to score on this deal.

I can guarantee you that the majority of those who snapped up the $5 deals probably never purchased anything from DSE before and are only buying now they are having a fire sale. The same problem arises at Aldi with their Special Buys and when it comes to super jackpot lottery draws — loyal customers are dudded whilst opportunists are rewarded.

IMHO there is a lot that retailers could do to balance the fairness in sales such in Aldi restricting limited quantity special buys (ie. TVs) to only customers who regularly buy groceries there (in the form of a loyalty card) or in the case of mega jackpot lotto draws charging casual entrants a premium whilst regular entrants pay the standard price.

      Go to Costco then

    • Then that just become another costco

      • You have to pay membership to use costco.

The point I was making is that loyalty is not rewarded when it comes to most Australian retailer sales apart from Myer with their VIP events.

        • +1

on paper, in my opinion, having an increased number of new users out weighs repeating purchasers. Makes upper managers happy and shareholders happy.

  • Got one eneloops, cheers OP
would like to see how crazy is the external 2TB hard disk at 4 p.m.

    • +2

No problem. 2TB price isn't really that great, $134.

      • Seriously? Yesterday I saw the website shows ~$115 or something like that

        • +1

Are you looking at a different hard drive? This is the one on offer.

        • @JSQUARED:

yeah probably is a different drive. Anyway not interested if it's $134

    • +1

      its $134

  • @ vid_ghost what sort of sale on staurday. DS Liverpool state no such sale on saturday.

Found nothing on sale in DS Liverpool. Either all gone or someone is hoarding it.

  • SENNHEISER HD 461i Out of stock now :(

    • i think it will come back once the deal starts. The HDMI cable was marked out of stock until 9:20am and made available when the deal started.

Any opinions on the value/performance of the 2 laptops?
    Asus F555YA-XO048T - $572
    HP 15-af127AU - $671

Can't find any reviews of the actual specs, and only need one for routine home/office work.

    —>> Fitbit Charger HR Large - Plum(dicksmith.com.au) - $142

Come on! All OzBargainers know any price higher than $120 is not a bargain!

  • +5

    These hourly deals are rubbish.

Someone point out a bargain?? Because I'm not seeing any.

    • +1

Yep. Over-rated. Designed for clicks, traffic with the hope of securing a sale.

    • Eneloops battery for $5 at 9.30am? The regular price is about $50.

      • Not the tropical pack. I'm after black rechargeable… Not on sale.

    • Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5" 16GB Wi-Fi was $300 but temporarily out of stock.. Not sure if it's a huge deal, seen them on eBay new for $350

  • +1

Everytime I see a DSE SALE, I get prematurely excited thinking quality stocked items will be on RIPPER sale prices…it hasn't once been the case once, for many people.

I checked and found a post as someone bought a 65" Samsung UHD TV down from $2000ish to $870. Apparently in VIC there was only ever 1 left in stock in 1 store, that went to the buyer on OZB who posted a pic of the receipt. Not really a post-able deal if only one person can get it. Same goes for everything else.

Eneloops would've been nice but, i'd go for the rechargable blacks instead. Still, full price online and in store (over $55 for a 10pk). Looking at the OP, every item listed after 10am…oh boy…really? People will buy this stuff? A $230 item reduced to $207? is Dick really trying to clear stuff, or not?

You're only lucky if your the 1 person who get there early on the one day to buy that one left over item #NotARealSale

    • Meh, scored $5 Eneloops here, and 2 XB1 games for $20 each in-store during the clearance.

Not sure what your sour grapes are all about, but at the end of the day you're not going to get any bargains sitting on your couch, or sleeping in.

  • Is the Philips sound bar any good?

  • +1

Shame us in WA had to wake up at 6am to buy online bargain..but decided in the end to sleep in lol..nothing really super exciting anyway…not like those in-store crazy price

  • Has anyone received email to pick up eneloop from store yet?

    • They're probably too busy running around for all the walk-in traffic :/

    • Yeah I got an email an hour ago :)

    • I got one an hour ago too. Depending on which store you choose, some store can take forever to process.

  • +5

well done to everybody that got the $5 eneloops as it's the only real bargain on here

  • Anyone in Victoria seen any sennheiser RS170 headphones? I went to the one on the cnr of Hawthorn Rd & Neapean Hwy in Brighton, but they didn't have any RS110 (apparently only 5 at Southland that morning with no live stock update), and he said nobody int he area had the 170's. I would drive out if I could find a place that had stock (but i doubt anyone will answer the phone to tell me if they do), and they don't have them listed as an item online so I can't even check that way.

  • DS had a 2200mAh charger for $5, plenty of stock.
Also $10 same capacity charger, comes with 2 cables.

  • Wollongong Store was very sad with no bargains
3 Boost $40 cards left for $6 but there was a catch, the expiry date was October 2015.

  • I was interested in the hard drives, but they don't seem that good a price - the 2Tb for $134??? I bought a couple on a DSE sale a while back, $104 each…

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/213426

I was expecting them to be that price :(

  • whats with the hourly timing? The deals are already there even for the next hours…

    • +1

Add to your cart and see the price change like magic! :)

  • +1

These deals are lousy. Went to look at the Fitbit Charge HR. It was $116 on the 27/11 and now they want $142 with $229.00RRP, thats bullshit - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/222030

  • Are they doing more deals tomorrow?

  • Darn! Bought a laptop for mother in law and didn't notice the coupons. Grrrr…

  • Got a C&C ready notification this morning for the Eneloops :) Will grab them tomorrow assuming they don't somehow sell them in the meantime!

  • Just picked up eneloops :) Thx m8

  • Has anyone not recieved their eneloops by mail yet?

  • I still haven't received any notification that the eneloops have been picked, processed, sent or anything. Money has been withdrawn from PayPal. How many people have received their batteries?

    • My guess is contract law states they are obliged to supply an equivalent, so they have to supply an 8 pack for the same price. If they refuse, I will report them to the ACCC

  • What a dodgy business!
Haven't received any emails from them, including the 3 pack of USB sticks in this bargain:
