  I never purchase one of these before, is there an expiry date on the card ? do I have to use up the card value by a certain date. thank you.

    They don't have any value until they are activated on the counter. As such these cards don't have an "expiry date" while they are sitting on the shelf.

    After activation (purchase), you have 2 years to use up all the credit, as stated in the Conditions:

    Prepaid cards expire the later of two years from the date of (i) issuance or (ii) last activity on an iTunes Music Store account.
