BankSA Complete Freedom - $50 Bonus after $500 Deposit

90

Happens to stumble upon a promotion by Bank of South Australia, where you get $50 for opening an account and depositing $500.

Keep in mind there's an account fee of $5 per month unless you deposit $2000 each month, so it is only worthwhile if you are planning to actually use the account (or don't mind setting up direct debits to bounce your fund between BankSA and your main account each month).

Full details below:
Simply open a Complete Freedom account by 11/12/15 and deposit $500 before 9/02/16 and we'll contribute another $50 to your account (conditions apply).*

Visa Debit card1 (Terms and conditions)
Internet and Mobile Banking (Terms and conditions)
$0 monthly account service fee when you deposit at least $2,000 by the last business day of every month (otherwise $5)
No ATM withdrawal fee at over 3,000 BankSA, St.George, Bank of Melbourne & Westpac ATMs around Australia

Customers will be eligible to receive a $50 payment if they open a Complete Freedom Account between 19 November - 11 December 2015, and deposit a minimum of $500 into that account before 9 February 2016. Offer does not apply to customers who have opened a Complete Freedom account in the 12 month period ending on 19 November 2015. Offer limited to one $50 payment per qualifying Complete Freedom Account. The $50 payment will be credited to the eligible customer's Complete Freedom account by 10 February 2016. This offer is not available in conjunction with, or in addition to any other special offers, negotiated rates or discounts. Read the terms and conditions at banksa.com.au before making a decision and consider whether the product is appropriate for you.

    Starting Etiquette

New users shouldn't write I'm new, don't flame me etc.
For first time posters, it's best to avoid telling the community that you are new and asking them to take it easy on you. The “L-plate icon” will be shown to indicate if this is your first post.

But welcome to the community :)

      Oh the irony

I disagree, I've been fully skinned and reskinned a couple of times over innocent things, and sometimes I was actually right and the crowd was just off. People are too damn harsh here, too serious sometimes about nought of any real importance.
Newcomers go for it and don't forget to bite back if appropriate.

Here's a great way to encourage new members to post deals. Scold them over something that does not matter in the slightest.
Better yet, scold them for something they can only really do once after they have done it…

How about concentrate on welcome etiquette and less on starting etiquette

  • Online Verification is not successful. :( :(

    Let's see what's next…

  • not for NSW

    • ?

      • i believe NSW residents cannot open the account. It is asking for the nearest bank where the account needs to be opened?

        • why does it matter? There is no requirement to visit the local branch to open the account.

        • Good then, i will give a try. Thanks

        • have open one of these banksa years ago with same offer but no need to deposit $500. didn't get thru. called up and with luck a man get me thru successful. he asked me why opening banksa i replied the banksa logo and cards looks better than the ugly st george one and insist my like of banksa (but not mentioned my interest is $50!). i believe this might not work again
