It seems to be working already (10.30pm) - but saying minimum 2 passengers per booking?

    • All the ones I checked say minimum of 2 people too, but no other mention anywhere else.
Sounds like it may be a 2 for 1 sale.

      • -2

I tested this and doesn't seem to be 2 for 1

        • Definitely says "minimum of 2 passengers required" for me too..

  • The prices advertised on the site are only one way prices not return prices

Domestic Fares from $39 Syd - Mel etc

That's from Avalon… So need to add $100 cab fare…

jetstar operates from the new terminal 4 at tullamarine from this sale

    • +7

Good to see that Avalon hasnt been completely abandonded.

Its funny how Sydney is begging for a second airport and Melbourne's second airport is near abandoned

        • +1

          More like geelongs first airport

        • Yeah, true that

        • @Regie69: True that too

    • why not stay and holiday locally in Avalon….save urself $100.

      • At the sewage treatment plant?

        • dont knock it until u try it, there is good in everything…

        • You can deposit what comes out of your mouth directly.

    • -1

Who takes a $100 cab fare on a $39 ticket?!

      • That's her point.

  • Might be worth adding this to your post too OP https://ssl.jetstar.com/au/en/what-we-offer/gift-vouchers

  • minimum 2 passengers per booking???

  • +4

It sucks to be singe :-(

  • Just booked Melbourne to Uluru return flights for 2 people - $448 inc meals and baggage. Bargain.

  • Melbourne - Wellington $170.99 return.

  • -8

    Never, EVER again. EVER
    Nope.
    Not a chance.

    • +3

      Why?

    • Let me guess, you arrived late to check in, they refused you entry.
Wouldnt change your flight or anything because you bought the cheapest ticket… Yeh clearly all jetstars fault

      • Cancelled flight, lost paid preferred seats, wouldn't refund.
Checked in with baggage at 200grams over in Melbourne, not a worry.
Checked in with baggage 200grams over in Sydney, big hoo-haa, mention the cancelled flight, no refund seats from 4 days earler "couldn't care less"

Overall cost really no better than elsewhere after the nickle and diming.
        Hate em

  • Yeah why does it ask for a minimum of two people?

    • +2

to coerce a seat selection fee, as a solution to avoid the anxiety of separation?

      • +2

never select a seat when you purchase your ticket, make sure you checkin 24 hours in advance and you can choose your seats then free of charge. I fly regularly and have never had an issue

  • Lots of lonely ozbargainers left out in the cold by the looks of it. :(

    • +3

      There's always Tinder

  • +1

You can bypass the "minimum 2 people" by searching for the same flights via the front page.

Maybe someone confirm if this works all the way to payment, I've gone as far as adding luggage.

    Great deal btw!

    • Yes you can do that but the price would be nowhere near what has been advertised in this deal then, would it? The cheapest one way flight to Phuket that it showed me was $499+ and $470+ for the return (that's from & back to Adelaide).

      • I was stil getting the same price for Tokyo return $650. So not sure why thats the case.

  • Minimum two passengers required? If I had someone else in my life why would I even want to go to Thailand then? Silly people!

    • +2

What?? Thailand is a brilliant couples destination…. get out of rubbish areas like Patong, Patayya etc and there are countless absolutely stunning places.

    • Yeh its a great place, especially the half moon party, Best place in thailand
      (That is sarcasm btw)

      • +1

Yep, that is another rubbish tourist trap part of Thailand (though some people want that). Do 10 mins research and such places are easily avoided. Can't wait to go back next Oct.

  • +2

    Thighland?

    • ;)

    • Piece of advice, looks can be deceiving. If you know what I mean. Haha

      • LOL! I am too lazy and chicken to travel to that part of the world, mate. Fantasizing to be globetrotter is free though. :)

    • Oirish?

  • Whats with the exta seating charges.. So silly if you want to stay with your partner its an extra $10

    • Wasted money. Just check in at the airport, compliment the the person checking in and and ask if there are any exit row seats. Hasn't failed me yet.

      • +1

What's your usual compliment? What beautiful eyes you have? You're such a good person? Oh oh, someone better tell heaven they're missing an angel….

        • Whatever you genuinely think is nice. It's amazing how something as small as "I like your earrings" to the cashier at the supermarket can brighten their day.

        • +1

I'm likely to get in trouble with security and/or Mrs muncan for complimenting them on what I believe is nice.

        • +1

          @muncan:

          Two cougars thanks

    • I have found if you book two people, don't choose seats — you are already assigned seats next to eachother anyway.
Last 8 flights on Jetstar I didn't pay for seats and got adjacent seats anyway.

If you are really worried, just check-in ASAP.

  • Whips the virgin deal, for Bali!

    Missing something??

  • -4

No really great pricing at all IMO

    • +1

There's only so cheap an airfare can be

      • Agree, the airlines aren't taking much after the taxes and fees imposed by governments and airports.

        • You're right. Didn't see other states. Seems Sydney missed out. Should have mentioned that..

    • Melb -> Bali return was great @$285 (all inc) return via virgin deal. This seems a lot cheaper.

  • Nice. Booked a trip for three to NZ. Not quite the same low prices as with last years 2for1 promo but good pricing still.

  • Cmonnnnnnnnn Bris - Perth :(
