HP ENVY 5530 Multifunction Printer $24.65
HP ENVY 4500 e-All-in-One $24.65

Seems like a good price on these two printers. The 5530 was last time posted for $58, and the 4500 posted for $48. Stock is limited, however there is a good amount of stock when I inputted capital city postcodes.

Edit: nevermind.. seems to work now but I havent gotten an email with order ID =/

I would recommend a printer with document feeder by spending extra bucks. If you are with not much scanning requirement then its a good deal.

What is the difference between the two?

  • I'm in the market for a multifunction printer and have been waiting for the EPSON XP520 to go on sale (lowest price in recent days was $80).

I have just picked up a HP ENVY 5530 instead as it's less than half price but and can perform most of the tasks as EPSON XP520.

  • gonna ask again…ink cheap? got too many junk printers lying in the shed now haha

    • Get onto the calidad refills mate
Officeworks stock them but u can probs find it cheaper somewhere else or even generics off ebay

      • Endless Ink is better. Got about half a litre of inks and 4 refillable large cartridges for my Brother printer ~$100.

        • Half a litre lol!
Ill take a look, cheers mate :)

  • I bought the ENVY 5530 from JB a few weeks ago at $79 so this is an excellent price for a solid product that can print/scan/copy.

The printer itself is excellent, easy to setup and use. I did have issues installing the driver on a old Vista machine but on Windows 7 had no problems and I can also print from my iPhone and iPad.

The big drawback is the amount of ink it uses. I copied around 160 A4 pages before the ink ran out on the cartridge that came with the printer. I don't know whether this is a normal yield for inkjet printers but seems a little low to me considering the cost of a replacement cartridge

    • cartridges that come with new printers are generally low yield ones…160 A4 pages is good going though

      • I'd agree, 160 pages out of a cartridge that comes with the printer is good.
Usually in cheap printers these days they put almost zero ink in them - just enough to get you to setup the printer and test it out - definitely not a full cartridge. I've had a new printer run out after probably less than 50 pages of standard typed printing. That's why the printer can be cheaper than the ink, because the ink isn't really included…

Second / full cartridge should be a different story - Anyone know whether they are okay on ink on a full replacement?

Cheaper to buy a printer than replace ink.

  • is the ink still on sale @ dicks?
