Worth highlighting again. Would be a dealbreaker for many.

Can't understand why airlines are the biggest gougers….highest credit card surcharges of any commercial entity….. And they also want to retain any unused portion of the gift card

      It's because they're tight

    • +3

I am surprised that is not illegal.

      • +1

that's why they were forced to introduce POLI because they were required to have one "fee free" option

        • Tiger still don't afaik
Only option is credit card or voucher.

        • @51ngh: they get around the law still shady as hell though

"The Tigerair booking fee is waived when purchasing flights with a Mastercard debit card issued by an Australian financial institution.
Tigerair has and always will ensure that all of its fees comply with all relevant regulatory requirements.
We have taken further steps to ensure our booking fees are clearly outlined during the booking process to ensure full transparency to our customers. At present we have a fee free option available to passengers and are continuing to look at other payment options for the future."

  • So what happens if the flight is over the cost of the voucher. How would you pay for the difference?

    • +1

If you use a credit card you will still be charged the cc fees. Unless direct deposit or Jetstar CC

  • I just bought $1700 tickets yesterday, WHYYYYYYYYYYYYY

      WHYYYYYYYYYYYYY

Missed the discount eh? that there is the class you'll be flying!

  • Can you stack vouchers?

    • You mean several vouchers in one transaction ? Yes but all the vouchers would need to have the same name (on the vouchers) unless the voucher is a gift voucher.

  • Anyone have any experience using these vouchers with jetstar Vietnam/Singapore? I expect you can't…

    • +1

Yes you can as long as it's Jetstar

  • what's the expiry date on these vouchers? Also can you use more than one voucher on each purchase?

DO NOT BELIEVE THIS ! Last time they have a similar Father's Day Sales.
The Bonus vouchers finally arrive after more than 4 weeks wait and numerous phone call. The terms said 10 days.

By the time you get the bonus vouchers, the seats may already sell out.

  • I bought some of these in the same offer they had for father's day
Took 10 days for the 10% gift cards to come through after filling out a online customer query (complaint).
If booking flights in the short term, I wouldn't rely on it.

    • Anyone purchased today?

  • Interesting!

  • I purchased vouchers on 10pm last night, I got them at 2am. Haven't received bonus vouchers yet tho.

    • Did you end up getting the bonus vouchers?

This has been extended until christmas eve.

      • +1

I did, I got it on 14th dec. In theory, I got it next business day.

        • Hi, I purchased my vouchers 6am on the 10th Dec, and I still haven't received my bonus vouchers. It's been 17 business days.

        • @rjane72: Ring Jetstar customer service? that's long time

        • I have rung several times, filed out the online customer care form, was told today that, in good faith they are going to send me vouchers within 48 hours. I doubt I'll get them…… if I don't I'm going to file a complaint with the ACCC.

  • Anyone know if I can use my bonus vouchers after a booking is already made? I.e. to add luggage. Just asking in case I don't get my bonus vouchers before the xmas sale ends.

    • +1

Yes you can. I did last time. I'm not 100% sure on this but I believe the baggage fee was much greater when adding later than when purchasing the ticket. Adding later cost me $56 per bag each way for 25kg.

      • damn…$56 each way is almost double what you'd pay at the time of booking. hmm
