This is for data hungry Telstra users who have a Go Mobile plan, probably from one of the recent posts. If you've got the M $40/7GB plan and wished you'd got the L $60/10GB plan then this will fill the void. Or those on the L plan and would like a touch more data then this is for you too.

This offer gives a bonus 1.5GB AND it doesn't say any mumbo jumbo about being a new customer. The downside is you will have to maintain the sim and/or device for 24 months. You could for example cancel all your casual devices and just keep a tablet or modem with 2.5GB data per month for $15/month for the remainder of the contract.

In order to purchase a Data Share SIM and device, you must have been a Telstra customer for more than 6 months. Available only to Go Mobile, Mobile Accelerate or Everyday Connect customers.

So your options are:

$15/month - data share (2.5GB)
or
$15/month - data share (2.5GB) with Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 4G
or
$16/month - data share (2.5GB) with Telstra Wi-fi Advance Pro X (4G mobile broadband/10 device wifi router)
or
$26/month - data share (2.5GB) with iPad Air 16GB

TLDR- Data share (normal price) + 1.5GB bonus data + tablet (free) or modem ($1pm)

  TLDR- 1GB data share with bonus 1.5GB data and either a tablet or mobile broadband to share your data for $24 total over the 24 months.

  Where's the $24 ($1/month) coming from? All I see from the rest of your post is minimum $15/month

    It is $24 extra ($1/month extra).
    This is on top of the $15/month usual data sharing sim.

    Data share $15pm, if you want a device it's an extra dollar a month, or $24 over the contract.

  Why wouldnt you just get the tab and sell it if you dont need it?

    It's a 24 month contract if you want the Tab, but if you've just got the SIM it's month to month.

    If you're happy to stay around, of course it'd be better to get the tab for the same price,

      oh for some reason i thought they add on the 2.5gb to your mobile phone data then you just share it.
      if its an extra sim card with the 2.5gb then its not that good.

        It's as you thought, it's 2.5GB to share between your mobile as well.

        The way I see it if you think the M plan isn't enough data and were looking at the L then this is a better alternative.

        M- (7GB/$40 + 2.5GB data share/$15) 9.5GB with a tablet/modem for $55 or $56 per month

        vs

        L- 10GB for $60pm.
