When you purchase a select hotel stay of $100 or more and use your MasterCard® in MasterPass™ & promo code MASTERPASS , you will save $50 off your hotel stay. Plus, MasterCard will make a $100 donation to Stand Up To Cancer® up to a total of $500,000.

This promotion is valid for reservations booked by December 31, 2015 for travel through June 30, 2016. Most major chains are excluded; to find participating hotels look for the "PROMO CODE ELIGIBLE" message on Orbitz.com hotel listings.

You need to pay via Masterpass which you can sign up for via an Australian credit card. Note that in the terms & conditions, donations are only made with a US Masterpass account.

I did a test booking for LA, Dec 18/19 @ The Luxe City Center Hotel for $155 USD. Hotelscombined gave me $198 USD as their best price.

It also works in Australia. The Crossley Hotel Melbourne comes up as $61.28 USD for Dec 18/19. Hotelscombined gives me $109 USD as their best rate.

        Were you able to book this special using your amex on your masterpass? There are reports on slick deals that only mastercards on master pass work.
        I don't have a mastercard, so would be curious about the answer.

          I got all the way to the last step, right before clicking confirm. I didn't want to book a hotel (as much as I love OzBargain).

    I tried checking out after selecting a room that has the promo code applied. Masterpass was not available as payment option, thus the deal doesn't work. Anyone else encountered this?
