This is a good deal, I recently purchased a U machine through the Nespresso upgrade program and cost $115.
Out of interest, how does the upgrade program work? Hadn't heard of it previously.
The upgrade program is, I had a U machine which was out of 2 year warranty, I rang Nespresso, they said I can pay $75 to have the machine repaired, it takes time and still will be a old machine or buy a new machine through their "upgrade program" at 40% off the RRP, in my case was not a upgrade since I bought the same one. U machine RRP is $199, through upgrade program is $115 which comes with 2 years warranty. PS. The milk frother died within the 2 years warranty, they replaced with a new one about 6 months ago before the machine died. Sms ppl are happy with the Aldi milk frother which is only $29.95 from memory.
Thanks, thats great info for future reference. I've had one mid range machine for 2 or 3 years and last week bought a second base model for my desk at work using the Good Guys deal linked above. On a related note, I've found Nespresso's support to be terrific when I sent a machine back under warranty 12 months ago. Postage was fully taken care off and we were given a loaner machine for the week or so ours was being serviced. Was very happy.
If you had the space, the swing water container is handy. But this one doesn't come with the milk frother?
This one is just the coffee machine on it's own. I found that this deal betters the U Milk as this deal is almost half the price of the U Milk. Extra $100 for a included milk frother… no thanks
