I used that seller not long ago for this phone and he/she sent through the unlock code within a couple of hours. Worked fine.

It's a sluggish phone but that said, a very capable one. Good as a backup.

      • I want one to use as an MP3 player (so I don't run my phone flat). Is the built-in speaker reasonable? I'm not expecting hifi, just reasonable sound.

Yeah its not terrible.. No worse than other mid tier offerings

      • Cool thanks! I'm just looking for a cheapy for my mother.
She has an old 2G phone and those networks are about to go off.

    • I just received my phone from DSE and purchased the unlock code from ebay. They sent me the code in 30 minutes. Work well!!!

  • Thanks got it for a backup

  • Have one of these just as a kick around backup phone in the car. Suprisingly fast little phone when you consider the specs on paper. Handles a few apps at a time no worries.

Please though… Don't attempt to use the camera! You will have nightmares for weeks!

Nice idea, but hasn't Telstra disabled play store using prepaid credit?

    • Whirlpool would explode if that happeened. It would be on the national news probably.

      • Interesting, I don't believe in abusing telstra like this, but my ability to do telstra billing stopped shortly after this post:https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/227021

The posts at the bottom of that page seem to suggest that in app purchasing using telstra credit has been stopped, unless I'm miss reading them. If I'm mistaken, then I'm thrilled as I've got a bunch of $30 sims.

If that's not the case, any ideas why my phone had stopped being able to do telstra billing? (I'm on Simplicity, but also tried a freedom sim).
