LADDA Smart Charger $15, LSD Rechargeable Battery (4 Packs) $3.99 @ IKEA (Excl Perth & Adelaide)

150

So IKEA has their LADDA brand of rechargeable battery and smart quick charger. They are currently on the IKEA FAMILY price offer list (which rotates/changes from time to time), 5$ off on the Charger and 2$ off on the battery (4 packs, AA or AAA).

LADDA battery and charger have decent reviews online, eneloop is bit better than this but for the price LADDA is winning my money. Note that LADDA has both Low Self-discharge (LSD) and non-LSD battery. Battery with silver color up to half of the height is LSD variant.

Not as good as the SKODDA ones…

    • What are those? Google shows nothing…

      • Yeah, maybe he is talking about Skoda car batteries.

It was a play on the LADA car name, SKODA being their equal in the bad car department until VW bought them… but never mind :)

          Pobman,
you gave me a laugh. KT must be too young to remember the Lada Niva.

        • @manic:
          Whoosh.
Thats the sound of the joke passing over my head.
Ahhh the Lada Niva, oh yes, I remember. I remember Peter Brock promoting the super-beyond crap hatch too. The Samara. Possibly the most most shizen-hozen car ever sold in this country. Worse than the Tata, worse than the Cherry worse than the Proton. The were all gone from the roads in a few years.
Even their problems had problems. The relays failed, the bearings failed, the interiors dried out and disintegrated in the Aussie sun. The actual wiring was so low grade its longer runs gave weird resistance and corrode then failed at the looms. The heads would fail due to being made from crap inconsistent alloys and the whole thing was assembled by pissed cold war era soviets. http://www.uniquecarsandparts.com.au/images/car_info/large/l…
          Pure crap.

  • I bought clearance 4 packs of Duracell Ultra Made in Japan AAs for $4 per pack of 4 @ OW Wentworthville. Was pretty happy with the price.

LADDA has good reviews over Duracell rechargeable. However, you got a good price.
