New Nintendo 3DS XL $178, New 3DS $148.01 - Harvey Norman

1050

Cheapest price ever (previous best for an XL was Target - $183.20 during ebay 20% off, excluding cashrewards).

Keep in mind that Target ebay no longer has the XL. And that cashback websites seem to be 2% now. So this is the best you could hope for unless Nintendo officially drops the RRP.

Limited stock. One XL available at Innaloo. Two regular size. I appreciate that is less than the minimum for ozbargain, but obviously there's going to be stock in other stores. So, call your local store to ask.

No brodening! Share the love!

Possibly other deals, eg: Polar FT7 $78

PS: lol at the extra 1c on the regular size ;)

  • Anyone knows where to get a charger for a good price?

    • +2

Not sure if it's bad for my battery or whatever, but I'm using a cheap USB cable from eBay with my Apple adapter.

  • Tried price match at big w Belmont and they said no. Catalogue only. No receipt. :(

    • I did few stores as HN, EB and lastly it worked at big W. It really depends on the person that is serving you, wear a big smile, be polite and show the photo while saying ''I'm wondeering if you could pricematch this product for me, it's at HN, the picture was taken by someone I know''. Most of the times they'll check on a computer but if you are lucky, they'll go grab a product and do it!

      Just don't give up!

      • I got price matched at EB in Belmont. :)
I had given up and was walking to JB Hifi to look for something else and just popped into EB and tried my luck.

Its really hit and miss who u get as EB in the city said no as it was clearance.

Same here.. Went in at 6.30 (do all my price matching near close time when staff just want to go home).. Found the oldest female staff I could find.. She was wrapoi g up to go home.. Smiled, made small talk, asked about the kids etc and requested price match.. She didn't even look at the pic.. Could've said 128 instead of 178.. Asked me what color I wanted and done.

    • Seeings you bought one, do you feel like tipping me over 99 votes?

I'm so close! Would be nice to crack 100 with a deal.

Here. Good job on getting 100 +ve votes.

        • Thanks mate :)

PS: Osborne park Harvey Norman still has the regular size New 3ds in stock

        • @justtoreply: thanks but already have 3 new xl noone to play triforce heroes with, sad

Merged from New 3DS Console $148.07, New 3DS XL $178 @ Harvey Norman (Pricematch @ EB Games)

Came across a deal from HN, clearing out New 3DS and 3DS XL Consoles.

    New 3DS Consoles @ $148.07, New 3DS XL Consoles at $178.

As seen by the attached picture, most EB Games are accepting price matches for this (not my receipt, a friend on facebook told me of this deal.)

This is super cheap, EB are still retailing these consoles for $249.

    • Can you post the HN deal ?

    • Considering a search on HN's website for '3DS' turns up zilch, good luck finding stock, even better luck getting a price match!

      • +1

I do agree with you, but I think given i've posted a receipt, your chances of a price match are certainly a lot better. Remember that most HN stores seem to disassociate themselves from the online website (they've always been very good at worming out of deals/prices seen on their site)

    • https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/229743 So it's still just this one then.

Basically you were lucky enough to find a HN with stock! Lucky.

      • the only thing that differentiates the two deals is proof of a working price match at an EB store. feel free to remove if this is still seen as a dupe..

    • +1 for sharing OP.

  • does anyone know if this is still valid and if this can be used for price matching?

    • Big W had the XL for $189 I think on Sat…?

    • Just used this to price match at JB HiFi today. Showed the sales guy the photo from HN and he checked with his boss who said it was OK.

After looking to get the 3DS XL I was using all the tactics and being very friendly trying at 2 JB's, Big W, Target and 2 EB Games in Melbourne while on holidays over this last week and one EB games here in Perth when I got home with no luck. Using the receipt @dogebargain posted above - http://i.imgur.com/VA3mbLm.jpg

I finally had success at JB at Joondalup, WA today. A super friendly (new)staff member was extremely helpful and said yes straight away after merely glancing at the photo receipt to price match.
Where as the other stores that said no that I went to above studied the photo receipt for what seemed like hours before saying something like it was too long ago, or I needed a current catalogue or a current website link with the same price etc..

Here is a copy of the receipt if it is helpful at all to people if they still want to try their luck at it:

But having the original discounted price being from a clearance and being from over a month ago it's pretty difficult getting it now. Just need the right staffer at the right time I guess. I do believe I got lucky :)

      Good luck!

    • Thanks guys i managed to get eb to price match it :) that guy was a lad
