Radio rentals are the opposite of a bargain, they charge more than twice the price of the items then split it over a payment plan.
You'd be better off going to JB, Good Guys, Harvey Norman and getting it on 'interest free'.

Then add to that this is for second hand goods…..

Avoid these places like the plague.

Couldn't agree more. Check online and you'll find news articles about their business "practices".

Thank you for the comment, please do not shoot the messanger, I saw the deal offer so I posted on OZB.

Personally I never used their service so I can not comment on them.

    thanks.

Nothing against you mate, I absolutely loathe companies like this. I've never been burnt myself but I've had a mate spend slightly under $2000 for a basic iPad.

I have no idea how they stay in business, they're more like loan sharks than a rental service.

I'm sure that no-one is interested in 'shooting the messenger' - but I like to think that OzB people can and will apply some degree of value-for-money analysis before passing on a deal.

In my opinion, Radio Rentals don't provide value-for-money on NEW goods and they thrive on exploiting those who can least afford to use their services. A 20% discount on products that are up to three years old AND subject to rapid obsolescence sounds like a scam.

  • Is there actually a link to anything on sale?

Might be 20% off "near new" (how on earth is a 3 year old refurbished product near new? lol) but given their markups are in the vicinity of 200% or higher, this really doesn't constitute a deal.

Just checked out of curiosity, and for a MacBook Air you'd be paying $4708 over three years. Disgraceful.
