Glenlivet 12YO Single Malt Scotch Whisky 700ml - $49.99 @ Vintage Cellars

130

Cheapest this has been for a while. They are phasing this scotch out to replace it with the no-age statement "Founders reserve" - best to stock up.

The Glenlivet 12YO, known as "the single malt that started it all", harks from the oldest legal distillery in Speyside, Scotland, where the stills are lantern shaped with long, narrow necks. The full and rich aromas of baked pastries, orchard fruit and toffee continue on the palate of this readily approachable malt. A hint of oak, from time spent maturing in both American and European casks, builds on the warming palate which finishes layered with dark licorice notes and dried citrus peel.

Alcohol Content 40%

  • (what's the regular price)

    • This is my favourite scotch. I track its price mentally. Its ususally $52-55.

It has dipped as low as $40 but you need to buy 2. Still got a few left over. $50 is an ok price but hey, look at the USD,

    • Don't often see the single bottles for less than $55, but like tonyjzx said it sometimes appears in multi-buy specials.

  • Can I get it at this price in store? or only for online order?

    • +1

      I got mine in store

      • Thanks OP. Will try to get one in store since I'm going out tonight getting the S6 mobile phone deal as well :)

          Thats a big night!

        • Let's drink to that!

Thanks! Bought at Dan Murphy for $48.99
    Their listed price is $56.99

  • id say 45 is a good price not 50.

    Great drop though :)

Valuable input there, please email [email protected] and tell them

      • Im saying its not really a good price 45 is a decent price i paid 40 each couple of months ago.

  • how much for a liver transplant OP?

    • +2

      You mean a Glenlivet transplant?

  • Yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo.

(Will pick some up with that many yos)

  • Stock up while you can folks, the 12YO is discontinued and replaced with the founders reserve. Once all the 12YO in tge market is dried up there won't be any more available!

  • I have a bottle of founders reserve (gift) and a couple of bottles of the 12 year old (I'm a fan) and I tried them side-by-side. The 12YO I would have to say is slightly nicer overall, but if I didn't have them side by side I'd hardly tell the difference unless I strictly drank 12YO before.

  • Tried last night at Dan's Forest Hills, Vic….Flatly refused to discount… :(
Have to find a Vintage Cellars nearby…

  • $48.49 at Costco Casula, NSW (17 January 2016).
