$30 Free to Try Your Hand at Online Forex Markets - Plus500

65

I have posted this before and seems like people signed up and tried it, don't know if anybody ended up making more than the $30?

Plus500 is a big global company, they sponsor Athletico Madrid (spanish football club).

The deal is, you sign up, verify your mobile and they put $30 in your account.

You'll need to get lucky and trade with the $30 for a bit to be able to cash it out. YOU CAN'T LOSE MORE THAN THE $30 UNLESS YOU DEPOSIT YOUR OWN MONEY.

IF YOU DEPOSIT YOUR OWN MONEY - MAKE SURE YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING - FOREX IS RISKY AND SINCE YOU CAN MAKE LOTS IN A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME…YOU CAN ALSO LOSE LOTS!

I post this today because if you follow global markets, China announces growth rates tomorrow which will cause the AUD and world markets to swing one way or another. If you use that $30 you may end up making a lot more and then eventually cashing it out.

Instructions:

Download the Plus500 trading software
Click on ‘Real Money’
A New Account window will open. Enter your new account details and click 'Submit'
In the drop down menu at the top of the page, click on ‘Account’ -> ‘Validate Phone'
Enter your personal details and click 'ok'
Enter your mobile number WITHOUT the country code and click on 'Send me a SMS'
You will receive a 3 digit code via an SMS message. Enter this code in the '3 digit code' field
$30 will be added to your account and you can start trading

Yes I've posted this before, No I don't work for plus500 at all, I've used them before but I currently use Commbank to trade. They are good for the $30 bonus. You can see from previous times I've posted it I made a little bit with them then cashed out.

Good luck for tomorrow if you end up doing it!

Just make sure to sign up with a throwaway mobile number, i'm forever getting spam thanks to these guys!

    • agreed, these people are spam. they keep sending me spam emails !!

      • +1

can't say I've had SMS's from them, I got a few emails which I unsubscribed too and that was the end of that.

        • they still send me emails every few days

      • I have deposited money and traded with them.. they rarely send me anything haha

    • Yep SPAM. I had 2 to 3 calls a day for 2 months until I cancelled my number! Not worth $30.

      • Did the calls come from a Nigerian number

        • +2

UK +44, Cyrpus +357, and then they just started to spoof the caller ID with Australian/NZ mobiles & retail shops.
One was the Apple store in Sydney. No one believes you, telco's just play dumb and shrug their shoulders.

    • Thanks for the warning. Going to give them a go.

  • So what should I buy with my $30?

    • AUD seems to be a good buy know. So keep your $30 with ya ;)

    • Cad short?

Aussie due for a nice bounce back into the 70s against USD.

Still not sure why the mods keep letting you spam this company???

It is not a deal and all you are trying to get is referral bonus

    Plus hardly a reputable company

          @Expon:

          wazza the bargain ????

This should be categorised the same as gambling and banned from here. There's definitely no 'simple' way to get that $30

  • +1

More likely to lose money and it's not just what is in your account like real gambling you can end up owing them tens of thousands.

If you're reading about forex on a site like this, avoid like the plague as it's people like you who make the tiny minority very rich.

And yes, expect to have a new best friend who'll help you learn to lose money.

  • I hate gambling, a true ozbargain should not be getting money from gambling.

    • It is not gambling.

Have a look at my comment above and I guarantee* it will be true before PLANTS $20 thread about BHP being a bargain.

      *not financial advice

    • I guess with hedging and some smart techniques (like options), this can become high probability gambling/speculation, if you are good at it. But I remember a UK newspaper reporting the CEO of IGMarkets stating to the Uk tax officials that most of their clients lose money.
      That's reality as I understand it. I'm in :^>

It left me with a bitter taste in my mouth.

    • Awww c'mon jv…

Plus500 is rubbish with the maintenance margin, if you deposited money and your equity doesn't cover the margin, they could close your open positions.

Don't do it, you will be eaten alive by the big players.

  • BUCKETSHOP UPDATE: Warning guys.

I deposited AUD$7520 by ING visa debitcard and was charged a $188 "International Purchase Fee". I assume when I withdraw I'll be charged the same. But as they have a Sydney office, why not an aussie bank account for deposits like other companies have set up. And further they do not mention it anywhere that I could find, that you are making a foreign bank transfer and will lose 5% guaranteed.

I have 17 years experience at this game so made four winning trades in first 36 hours = just over $600 profit.

So after watching their instruments for three days on 9, 10 & 11th Feb 2016. I traded mostly outside stockmarket hours.
No mistake, I opened and closed SPI200 (ASX200) index around 8.30pm EST, and 2.30am 12/Feb EST.
Reaction or coincidence? On Frday 12th, they shut down all outside stockmarket access to their indices.

Fine, so I chatted three times online with them, and with proof of transaction IDs they gave me endless runaround even when I asked to speak to actual Plus500 staff twice. ignored! I told them I currently have $30,000 SPI200 trades I may need to close tonight, but unlike the last 3 days they have today shut down access to after hours index trading, WHY? No answers whatsoever. Upset was I. I had to hedge the $30k at Igmarkets Friday night, to effectively close the trades until monday.

There were two other typical rotten things so far I wont bother explaining, but rest assured this place WILL FLEECE YOU if you let them. They are a modern bucketshop trading model. I am sorry to find this CFD industry hasn't matured in 20 years online.

Please note, I have made clear profit in two days knowing what I'm doing in this trading arena, and I'm clearing out my funds on Monday.

Recommend you guys stay away or search for anywhere that does not have a dealing desk trading against their customers, if any currently exist. Such companies have historically been bought out by companies like DailyFX that do (did) have a very successful dealing desk operation.

  • Further update, this company has no phone number, so you have email and Chat only. They are impossible to sort anything out with (mostly outsourced help people). I've had 12 contacts and just get fobbed off.

Last point all deposits go to London and incur international charges. Withdrawals are by Wire from London and will cost. It will cost me 5% to send and recieve my funds back, and this is not disclosed or admitted by Plus500, by I have ING receipt details.

These guys are very CRAP, and have bad reputation. Please stay away. Igmarkets are much better in pretty much everyway.

I made $720 in total and am out of here fast.
