    telstra 3G only.

    • whats better telstra 3g or optus 4g?

      • Hey Y12345678 and h3h3

While TeleChoice currently uses part of the Telstra 3G network, Telstra has announced that a 4G mobile service will be available to us by no later than June 2016.

Telstra's current network footprint covers 98.8% of the Australian population.

        • good to hear, so you will receive all of telstras 4g derive or only part of it

        • +1

I'm currently on the $20 plan, what happens when the 4G is available? Will my plan move to the 4G network automatically?

        • Hey h3h3,

There will always be slight differences between Telstra and Telstra wholesale, but we will have more information about exact coverage closer to the date. For your referrence, here is our current coverage map - http://www.telechoice.com.au/coverage

        • Hey Bctransit,

If you are on a LIVE plan, you will be moved automatically.

If you are not on a LIVE plan, we will need to provide you with a new SIM to move you to 4G (as the old SIM is not compatible)

For more info, please email [email protected]

        • @TeleChoice: Do you know what bands will be used? I just bought a new phone and didn't bother getting one with 700mhz LTE as I didn't figure I would have any use for it.

        • Good question Macrocephalic :D

I'm not sure if we have this info yet, but i'll investigate and get back to you!

        • @TeleChoice: Don't like to red flag deals but while your searching for that can you also PM me, I was a happy customer for 12mths but due to dropouts, low signal changed. I got charged $197 for early termination I was under the impression I committed to 12mths so asked 2mths back for copy of agreement. Told initially I had signed and they would email the signed agreement, then after much inquiry told it was verbal? keep trying to get a copy and I am still waiting? No signed agreement no verbal? I haven't negg'ed the deal as I am hoping that your good customer service will prompt you to look into this for me:)

        • Hey MMM,

I'm probably not going to be able to answer that question for you within this public forum, but if you can email your account details along with this message to [email protected] i'll get somebody to assit you :)

        • @TeleChoice: Phoned many times and they say they will send me a copy but hasn't happened:) so if you want to give me your personal undertaking and your email thru PM I will be happy to send you my details.

        • Hey MMM,

Message [email protected] and that will come straight to me, and I will follow up on it.

        • @TeleChoice: Thanks I have emailed and will await your response.

        • Hey MMM,

We are still waiting on your email. Can I confirm you sent it to [email protected] ?

        • @TeleChoice: Hi, yes did send… but just resent and this time got acknowledgement, thanks.

        • +2

@TeleChoice: Just wanted to Thank the Telechoice REP here… got the contract finally and all that he said he actually did. Even though he couldn't reverse the charge which has proved to be my fault for early termination, he tried very hard and I am impressed by his great customer service:)

      • Depends on location…I m in CBD and optus 4G sucks…I only get 2G or partial 3G here..

        • I was on optus resellers for years, but found the service pretty terrible - and now live somewhere that has almost zero Optus coverage, some Vodafone coverage, and decent Telstra coverage. I switched to Telechoice a year or so and have no complaints.

  • OP, any offer for low end users? or say $24 for 2.5GB Data, 200 mins international call and $1000 worth local call?

    • Hey Pyramid,

I am on telechoice on 24month contract. There are No offers for existing customers. Lots of better offers outside as well. I am waiting for my contract to finish so that I can port out.

    • Hey Bkoolrocks,

This plan is definitely available to existing TeleChoice customers. We have a 24 month version of this special offer meaning customer locked into a 24 month contract wont miss out :D

Contact [email protected] for more info

      • What I meant to say is offers for existing customers are same as what others get. So why stay? :-)

        • +3

          Hey Bkoolrocks,

As you may have noticed, we're coming out with new competetive offers more frequently nowadays. Unlike other providers, if you are eligible to move (ie. doing so won't break your contract) we are more than happy to move our existing customers to our special offer plans too. Hopefully we'll come up with a plan to entice you soon ;)

        • What an interesting question. Many companies are criticised for neglecting existing customers. TeleChoice offer this to both new and existing, and you're asking why stay. Haha.

        • Thanks Illumination,

we agree - the best way to lose existing customers it to neglect them! We're happy to give them what we would give any new customer, as that is fair :)

Would appreciate Telechoice not surcharging for direct debit credit cards =/

    • Hey mmkardart,

If you pay using direct debit from a bank account or Bpay there is no surchage :)

  • I am on the 20 dollar plan and in my opinion telstra 3G in Melbourne is pretty bad. Looking to port out. Telechoice sms offered 8 gigs for $38 on a 12 month contract.

    • Hey Kaboda,

I'm a Melbourne resident myself and I think the coverage in Melbourne CBD is pretty top notch, especially in the train stations :) Also - Telstra has announced that a 4G mobile service will be available to us by no later than June 2016.

      • Im on Telstra 4g and the network flops in the loop. theres a 4g blackspot in between parliament and the richmond tunnel entrance. also pretty average coverage anywhere else in the loop and along the sth yarra - caulfield express section. Probably due to peak time and a recessed trainline, but one would expect more from the nations premium carrier which boasts about best coverage and charges an arseload for it too. Not that this is Telechoice's fault anyways :)

        /endrant

      • I can't comment on the 4G service but I am unhappy about the speed of the 3G service. Who knows it could be my phone but it seems really slow at times to refresh google maps for example or the times I really need it to work well it seems to let me down.

  • With Vodafone I'm getting 13GB data, unlimited talk and text within Australia, unlimited international SMS and MMS, unlimited calling to ten selected overseas destinations and 120 minutes to all other countries.
    For only $31 per month.

So I reckon I'll be fine, thanks.

    • Hey KaptnKaos,

Sounds like you've got a pretty good deal for yourself there ;) Although I don't think this one is available to buy throught their website.

      • Correct, it may not be on their website. But for those looking around this also is a decent deal from TC.

        • +1

Thanks for the shoutout KaptnKaos :D

The catch is you have to be on the Vodafone network.

      • I live in a metro area, so it's no catch for me. There's decent Telstra coverage where I am, but absolutely no Optus coverage at home and 1-2 bars at work. Vodafone has treated me well at work and outside of work, so I'm satisfied.

        • +1

I'll agree with you regarding Optus. Unfortunately the Telstra network is the only one that serves my needs (and I live in Brisbane).

    • Hmm interesting. Could you share how to obtain this plan?

      • Yes please share how you got this price……

    • Mind sharing how did you get that plan pls

    • How did you do that?

    • 13GB data, unlimited talk and text within Australia, unlimited international SMS and MMS, unlimited calling to ten selected overseas destinations and 120 minutes to all other countries.
      For only $31 per month.

      Please explain!

  • Is it 9Gb on a 3G network?
I reckon coverage from telstra would be awesome but having to wait until june for 4G on a locked plan (and we don't know the exact coverage yet) … I'll stick to my amaysim plan

    • Hey Bubbleshark,

This plan is available for a while yet - until the 02/04, we should have more details about 4G by then which will hopefully convince you to make the switch ;)

  • I am currently with Telechoice and I received a text msg from telechoice last we regarding 38 dollar live plan with 8gb data asking me to reply "yes38" if I want to go ahead with the plan. I did reply back to telechoice but nothing happened since then, last week I have opened service desk case in members area but no response to that either. I wonder when will they respond back to me or take any action?!!

    • Hey Malapinar1,

Could you please email this message along with your account number to [email protected] and I will investigate for you.

      • Just sent an email as per you advice, thanks for following up.

        • Hey Malapinar,

We just emailed you back :) Let us know if there is anything else we can help you with!
