  • 2 x $29 caps and 2 x phones for $29 - awesome deal. Can make decent use of the on-net minutes this way.

  • It's a good deal regardless, but who is the service provider for the $29 cap?

    • -1

      vodafone network

      • Hi

        We use Optus

  • Any data included? If not, how much will it cost to add it?

    • Hi

      Data is not included.
      Pricing for data is as follows:
      25 MB - $4.99
      200 MB - $9.99
      500 MB - $14.99
      1 GB - $19.99

    plz mention the data cost next to the DATA amount on your shopping cart system.

    And let us understand if we add a DATA pack, will this be automatically included on the 2nd handset?

  • they are on the optus network.. data is not included in cap but can be purchased on top of $29.00:

    25MB = $4.99
    200MB = $9.99
    500MB = $14.99
    1GB = $19.99

    do note that the cap is $150 to anyone and $160 to other Live Connected members.. and also i very much doubt the DATA pack will be included in the 2nd handset

      Hi

      that's right. If you'd like data on both handsets you will need to add data later on to the 2nd handset.

    so what does the monthly cost come to? $58/month for the 2 services. I don't see how this is a good deal? What makes it different to any other $29 cap service? Data seems expensive.

    • Hi

      It comes to $29 for both services combined.

    • Hi

      Good idea. We are looking to see if we can build this.

    Have you thought about having a presence on whirlpool? I know that many users there have signed up and it would be great PR if you or someone were to have a presence on there to answer any questions that may arise.

    • Hi

      We looked at being on Whirlpool but we don't have a way to actively support it at the moment. If we put a presence there, we need to know we can track user questions and respond in a timely way.

      Also we feel Whirlpool is best left as a forum for customers to talk to potential customers. From our experience when a Telco interferes in a customer forum its never good.

      tks

      • Thanks for responding and you raise valid business points. However I would argue that you don't need to officially support issues on whirlpool but rather just be a point of contact for any queries that may arise.

        Really all issues that existing customers are facing should be raised by submitting a helpdesk ticket but simple questions about plan details and activations (like what I'm experiencing) may be best dealt by someone in the know. Just a thought…

    This phone is only $100 outright. Why you want to lock yourself into a $29/month for such a vanilla phone beats me.
