  • make sure you mention it's the gtx not just the m model
NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 960M 4GB GDDR5, also 8GB Single Channel DDR3L 1600MHz (8GBx1) I mean in this day and age 16gb is probably a wise investment, sure you may not use it but the extra buffer is nice to have. Other than that this is pretty good considering even the gigabyte of the same range is $100 more and it's the 5th gen processor, only off-putting thing is no separate ssd these hybrid drives you may as well not have an ssd. I would just chuck the hydrid drive straight away and get 2 separate drives. but in saying this I would almost be tempted to pay an extra $281 from msy and get the
acer Nitro VN7-592G-76DD just because it already comes with the 2tb sata and 128gb ssd and the 16gb ram
    CPU: Intel 6th Gen. Core i7-6700HQ 2.6GHz(Turbo 3.5GHz)
    OS: Windows 10 Home
    RAM: 16GB DDR4
    HDD: 128G SSD + 2TB SATA
    Graphic: Nvidia GTX960M Graphics
    4GB Dedicated VGA
    Screen: 15.6”FHD(1920x1080) LED Screen
    1yr Warranty *USB3HDMI
    Wifi 11N *Webcam,Spk,MicCard Reader *2.40kg

    • I don't think the Dell has two drive bays.

And seconds after I posted that I saw that it does. Nevermind.

  • How much does this unit weigh? It's not that important for me (I'd rather have something that weighs an extra two kilos with than have a lightweight under-powered machine). Just curiosity's sake.

it says 2.57kg on the dell website

      http://www.dell.com/au/business/p/inspiron-15-7559-laptop/pd

2.72kg if you get the touch/16GB one

That's one heavy digitizer and ram.

        • Thanks for getting back, that's pretty light for a powerful machine!

        • I think it's due to the glass in the touch panel.

        • @psdillon: Or possibly because it's got dual drives versus a single drive.

Watch out for the GPU, looks like its the old Maxwell, not the Kepler…

Really poor that there were 2 960m's, one Maxwell and one Kepler, pretty sure the 4 gig was the old Maxwell.

Otherwise its OK, I'd still stalk the Dell refurbs, you can get a as-new Alienware for this coin…
