It's actually the Tronsmart T1000 Elite. The successor to the original and no longer requires EZCast to cast your devices to a screen.

Not requiring the Easycast is a bonus - and just at the right time, I'm sure we all now have empty HDMI slots gazing back at us saying 'You paid for me, use me or hand in your eneloops.

    • Thanks for the correction, I plan on using it to show pictures from my phone on the TV

  • good price i have no idea how it works is it like chromecast

    • Uses Airplay, DLNA anf Miracast to mirror your phone, tablet or PC to your TV.

Man the T1000 is a whole lot less impressive than terminator 2 promised.
And that thing couldn't even kill a kid.

  • Damn so cheap bought the original t1000 for triple price but now just collecting dust since I bought chromecast.

  • Would this mirror Minecraft or modern combat/nova to a TV from a phone?

    • Yes.

  • Does it require home wifi or will it create its own wifi to mirror an android phone for example?
The reason im asking is because my internet setup is a WPA2 not a normal connection and not even Chromecast would work at my place. However my Samsung TV works with my S6 because they create their own connection without needing wifi.
    Can anyone help?

It will use wifi direct from device to device. No external wifi needed.

      • Thank you.

    • Chromecast supports WPA2 Personal (just not Enterprise). It's unlikely you'd run WPA2 Enterprise at home.

Note that any form of "casting" usually requires the device to have internet access. If you cast from say Youtube on your phone to your Chromecast (or similar) it basically passes the link. After that, the Chromecast needs it's own internet connection. So a Wifi direct connection probably won't do what you need.

      • Yea. that's the issue I have. I am running a WPA2 Enterprise. I managed to make my Apple TV work but not the ChromeCast.

  • If I just want to stream mp3's to my tv and video files and occasional websites like sport streaming . would this be able to do the job. Does this require an app to work or does it just work out of the box.

  • Paypal charged me $14.78.

  • The usb ports on my tv only output 0.5A, not the 1A required according to the specs. Very sad =(

    • No xiaomi power banks??

    • Surely doesn't need 1A?

  • I wonder if this will work better than my Microsoft wireless display adapter, it takes many attempts for a connection to be made each time I use it.
