Nice i like to buy from amazon rather then ebay. Easy returns.

    • +2

I did notice they advertise a 24 month warranty on Amazon aswell whilst on ebay this only state a 1 year warranty.

  • Heaps of these on alliexpress for half the price but difficult to know which ones are decent.

    • +3

Google aur dusters on youtube. There are some quality comparison videos :)

    • +6

Look up comparison videos on YouTube. The others are half the price because they're only half as good as this one.

      • +13

I watched the project farm video. The wolfbox was consistently the winner in the individual tests.

    • +11

This one is basically cream of the crop with regards to dusters

  • +5

I have used mine a bit in the last month - very useful - very noisy.
Can highly recommend this mount if you have a Skadis pegboard for your tools

    • Any idea of this would be useful for clearing out dust accumulated in the vent of a heat pump dryer? There is some moisture there so it's not just like removing it easily with air - you need to agitate it.

      • Honestly not sure sorry

      • +2

You can try a coil cleaning product. I've used Coilox previously.

  • +4

I picked up a MetroVac DataVac. It's a bit expensive and also requires mains power but it sure does blow.

    • Been using one for 5 years. Never missed a beat.

    • +10

I was close on getting a datavac but after seeing how this performs just as good (minus unlimited run time), I just went ahead and got one. Convenience of being able to just pick it up and blast away means it's not gonna sit in the cupboard collecting dust :)

      • +2

I already have a datavac and bought this, much prefer using the Wolfbox for the same reason.

      • 100% this. It's like using a corded vacuum versus a cordless stick vacuum cleaner, the latter is just so much easier to bring out for a quick clean-up.

I mainly use my Wolfbox MF100 to clean my keyboards every few days, and also fan grilles.

      • +1

Same here; I've had my DataVac for years but it's a hassle to unpack it and the thick cable for a quick clean - I spend more time setting it up and packing it away than actually using it. This WolfBox is a lot more convenient.

If there's a lot of dusting to be done though, the DataVac is better as it's more powerful and won't run out of juice.

    • Do you find the 2 in 1 vacuum useful? I would like something in the car to blow away any crap, or suck up food bits my kids have left in between the seats, but seeing how popular this thing is makes me want one.

So normal expensive price? Cheers op

  • +1

Is this any good? Been looking for an electric duster for a while…thanks

    • +1

      Yep!

    • +11

Bought one from previous deals, blows hard. I like blowing it in my mouth, dries it in like 2 secs flat

      It is loud though.

      • I'll pass that info on to my dentist

    • +3

I use it blow leaves out of my lock up garage. Would recommend but have to be within a metre or two to really move stuff.

  • I got this model last week and wow, it is powerful. Great for cleaning computers.

  • +3

    This thing blows hard!

  • Owned this exact model for about 6 months… it's fantastic. I use it to clean computer parts mostly and other than being a little noisy, it does the job! Highly recommend.

    • +1

Have you used this for anything else? Unexpectedly or not.

      • Yeah, I've used it on a few things like air filters (air purifier, car cabin filter and A/C filter) - again does the job well enough.
I've used it a couple times on other random shit like my bbq, speaker grills, window sills…

A good air compressor would still be better but this thing is tiny and much more convenient (it comes with a little bag to store it + the nozzels

  • +1

There is newer model on preorder for $79.99.

  • +8

Obligatory Torque Test Channel video. This thing is extra.

  • +1

    Ordered one, thanks OP!

  • Newbie question, is it much better than a hair dryer 3rd gear or its more of the cordless convenient?

    • +1

Much higher pressure than a hair dryer. For me this has replaced compressed air cans for cleaning electronics, a/c filters and that kind of thing. Powerful enough that you could use it as a leaf blower.

  • +2

I just use my leaf blower

    • Same here.
      Love my Makita.

    • used my leaf blower it was too powerful that it broke a fan blade :(

      • Use the lowest setting and keep distance. However, it's bulky in size.

  • Thanks heaps!

Been eyeing this off for a while so jumped on the great price.

  • Been thinking about getting something like this for a while! Got good reviews so lets see how this goes aha

  • But I ordered one anyway. 😇

  • +4

I just bought this for $88 on ebay. make an offer of $100 or $105 to the seller, they counter at 110. then use the 20% code to get it for $88

    • +1

I tried this but once you accept the offer theres no option to input a discount code or any other discount si its just the offered price

      • +1

Yup got 3 of them for 88 bux each for family and friends, same offer n 20% coupon

    • +1

Looked into the make offer option - 160 competing offers!

      • Counter offer was $115. Once accepted, there is an option to enter the code before final payment. $92 was the final price.

  • Is it possible to replace the batteries on these?

    • +2

No, It uses a built-in lithium battery (and charged via USB C port). Though anything is replaceable if you are brave enough…

      • Yeah that's what I mean't, does it use standard 18650 or similar batteries that might be user replaceable with not too much effort?

        • +3

          Here’s a teardown video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9f_Yurzwf1k

          Batteries are 21700

          • +2

@PowerPants: One of the comments in that video points out that the batteries will become unbalanced after a while because there doesn't seem to be any monitoring/maintenance of individual cell voltages. Could be a safety concern.

          • +2

@PowerPants: Thanks. That looks somewhat reasonable to dismantle and replace batts. Maybe it's just me but if I'm spending $100 on a reusable device I prefer to have it not bricked after a few years when the battery goes. I think I'm starting to like how IKEA devices often use rechargeable NiMH instead of inbuilt lithium-ions.

        • +2

Looks like it's 2x 21700 cells in series:
          https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9f_Yurzwf1k

It's a pain in the arse to take the thing apart though.

[edit] Beaten to the punch by PowerPants!

          • +2

            @deadpoet:

It's a pain in the arse to take the thing apart though.

Two screws and some clips; it could be easier but it's not that bad. Some devices are glued together with the batteries stuck down - those are a real pain in the arse to disassemble nicely.

  • +3

I was a non believer of battery air dusters until I got this. This goes crazy.

  • +4

I bought one and have never used it. What do people use them for?

    • +3

Why would you buy one if you couldn't think of a use for one?

      • +2

      • OzBargain proverb/way…

    • +1

      Lots:

      • shampoo commercials
      • airplane action scenes
      • imitation movie hurricane effects
  • +13

I have one of these and it is excellent. Here are my uses to far.
    Dusted my computers.
    Blew out my garage.
Blew away dust and debris after drilling.
Blew water off of engine after degreasing and washing.
Blew grass and dirt off of my after strimming and gardening.
    Annoying my wife.
    Annoying my cat.
    Annoying my subbies.
Feeling like a kid shooting air bullets at things.

    • +4

Blow out the garage? how big is this thing?

      • +1

As a matter of fact it does that. People use this to blow leaves.

      • It's not how big it is, it's what you do with it. And yes it did the job. Not as well has my Milwaukee M12 blower but my batteries were in use elsewhere.

    • +1

Can this blow dry a car after wash?

    • +1

I used this to clean leaves outs of the gutter.

    • -1

      Does she have a sister?

  • Been waiting to see what the ozbargain approved blower is…

Mostly just want one to help with cleaning the carpet and mats in the car. Take it you can help lift dirt so the vacuum cleaner can pick it up.

Another use is to quick dry your bicycle after a wash.

  • +2

Hopefully this is more durable than Opolar.

    • +2

My Opolar died pretty quickly as well; less than a dozen uses I reckon. Wasn't exactly cheap either.

      • +1

Interestingly my Opolar from 2021 is still going, albeit with pretty degraded battery life.

Grabbed one of these Wolfboxes though as I’ve wanted an upgrade for a while.

      • Same. My Opolar didn't last long before carking it.

Went to a plug-in one, so I didn't have to worry about batteries/charging. Obviously more powerful too.

    • Aha. I got this because my opolar stopped charging properly.

Heaps stronger but also a lot louder. Wear earplugs.
