Phoenix Tapware Australia Day Sale at Online Bathroomware | 30% off RRP | One Day Only

60
FAIRDINKUM

Hi Everyone,

I've managed to secure reduced buy prices for the entire Phoenix Tapware range (excluding the Reece exclusives). The only caveat is that we're only allowed to do this for a single day, so Australia Day it is! AUSSIE! AUSSIE! AUSSIE!

If you know anyone that's looking to pick up bathroom accessories, tapware, mixers, or showers, now is the time to do so.

With this discount we're absolutely gutting the price, so take advantage of it while the goings good :)

I will be sporadically available (we'll be closed) to help with any questions tomorrow, so if you'd like to know something please use facebook chat, or the contact form for the quickest response.

In the interest of stacking the deal, I will offer the additional 5% facebook like discount (NOT THE EMAIL SIGNUP) on top of this deal. HOWEVER, you will need to contact me through facebook message so I can create the order for you. We do accept AMEX, so make sure to earn whatever you can from that as well.

PLEASE NOTE: NOT ALL ITEMS WILL BE AVAILABLE AT TIME OF ORDER. I WILL CONTACT YOU FIRST THING WEDNESDAY IF AN ITEM IS NOT AVAILABLE.

EDIT: To pre-empt any comment that we're marking up prices for the deal. Yes we are. If we didn't, we'd be losing out big time. Everyday pricing will return to it's usual lows on Wednesday.
EDIT 2: All orders will be despatched from the Phoenix warehouse on Wednesday and will arrive Thursday / Friday, unless I let you know otherwise.
EDIT 3: I've bumped the discount up to 30% off. I'm also still working on having the entire range listed and ready for tomorrow.
EDIT 4: We're unable to supply the Reece exclusive ranges

  • Thermostatic shower products?

    • We can do, Thermostatic shower products, however it's something I'd need to look into in terms of which suppliers offer this to us.

Then how do you consider this a deal if you are jacking up the prices

    • -1

Our normal pricing is higher than the deal price. As an example, I have people lining up their carts for tomorrow that will save an extra $200 on what would be a $1000 order today.

  • Hey OP, looks like most items are already discounted by 15-25% anyway. For example this shower head is already 23% off RRP. Thanks for putting a deal together, but to other OzBargainers please be mindful that it's really a 0-5% discount from their normal prices. I wouldn't be rushing through an order tomorrow unless I had already my mind set on something.

Plus a quick google search found other competitors at the same price point as you normally.

    • Hey, I appreciate the input. The reason I chose to do it this way is that since our prices are low as is, it will be easier for people to see the difference since RRP is a measurable thing that everyone offers.

Obviously I'm not trying to pull the wool over anyone, so that's why I added the additional comment.

We do offer our 5% price guarantee like the big retail chains, so if a competitor has the same product advertised for less we'll beat it by 5%. So in the case of the linked shower, we'd be doing it for $645. Stack the 5% facebook / newsletter discount, and it brings it down to $612.

Just have to STACK ALL THE DEALS :)

Just have to STACK ALL THE DEALS :)

Yeah, but the 5% facebook /newsletter discount is always there. 365 days a year. The only extra discount for tomorrow (this deal) is roughly 0-5%, or maybe 0-10% depending on the product. Don't get me wrong, it's great to see the deal. I just wish it could be a) a little more discount; and b) somehow easy to promote, like "5% off our current prices" or something fixed like that.

        Cheers anyway OP

        • I can see your point. It's tough advertising lower prices when we're already trying to beat everyone and have minimal margin as is haha

To take your advice, as I'm such a people pleaser, I've changed it to 30% off :)

        • @Online Bathroomware:

It's tough advertising lower prices when we're already trying to beat everyone and have minimal margin as is haha

I hear that. I'm trying to get an online arm for my printing business and on some products the margins are so tight you wonder how some of the competitors are still in operation!

as I'm such a people pleaser, I've changed it to 30% off

Indeed you are :) A +1 from me because of the quick google search I did these will be the cheapest online prices for Pheonix hardware. Thanks for taking criticism constructively and not being negative about it like some other reps. Good luck with the sale tomorrow

        • @PBG:Retail is a tough gig for sure. Good luck with your online arm :)

Thanks for the +1. Have a good (hopefully day off) Australia Day!

How is what you are doing any different than this? I would be cautious if I was you.

    • As the title says "26% off RRP"

We list both the RRP, and our advertised price.

As I've said it in the deal that we're bumping the price up to the RRP to make this deal possible, we're not doing anything misleading :)

      • +3

If you don't normally sell at the recommended price and are putting up prices for one day to imply a bigger discount this is dodgy and exactly what Kogan did.

        • -1

As I'd said in a comment above "The reason I chose to do it this way is that since our prices are low as is, it will be easier for people to see the difference since RRP is a measurable thing that everyone offers."

Not only is it a lot easier to advertise a single simple discount rate, it's also a technical issue in that it's far easier to apply a single rate to the entire range than to go through each product and manually adjust pricing.

This route keeps it simple for everyone. Which of course helps costs down, and allows us to do better deals :)

I do appreciate your concern though. I hope I've addressed it to such an extent that we're not trying to do anything dodgy.

  • hello - just to clarify, do i put items into a cart or wishlist, then log tomorrow and enter the code FAIRDINKUM to apply the discount?
THEN send a message through FB to add another 5% discount?

    • If you can go through the checkout process and leave at the payment screen, and then get in touch with us via facebook I will then create an order with 35% discount applied and provide the link to submit the order.

      • thanks - will do. Tony

  • A bit late, but awesome job and bargain.
Better that the "Trade" prices I was quoted for my renovation bulk order.
Hope to see what else they can do for me in terms of savings.

Service and response was also top notch.

    • Thank you for your kinds words :)

I'll be more than happy to continue with the good deals.

I foresee that you'll end up with enough savings to buy out the local Dick Smith supply of Eneloops haha.

Thanks everyone who checked us out yesterday. I'm happy to have helped a whole bunch of people get their items cheaper than anyone else.

Next up, I'm hoping to coax another deal from Phoenix, and maybe some others, for an Easter weekend sale.
So mark your calendars, it's going to be the time to buy!
