      • Yep no go @ Northmead.

But Rouse Hill matched it though. They had HEAPS priced at $239. They called up one of the branches for me and confirmed the price.

    30mins and 3managers.
    Spoke to each one calmly.

The final manager folded and was first to raise his voice.
He mentioned "Even if taken to ACCC I do not have to sell it to you"
I stated repeated again "where on this page says offer only available in chullora?"
"I'm not argueing with you over $50dollars"

**edit: i know… it was 239 to 119. So 120 is the saving. the final manager must have been fuming that i spoke calmly, clearly and grinned at him.

    VIC purchased at $119.
    Stanley Fatmax 18v 2piece

**edit: masters is close to my mothers home. So i gave it a go. May not work with all stores in VIC.

(I will not post which store here)

    • Hey mate which store was this at?

    • +2

The newspaper ad clearly says which stores are participating stores. No VIC stores are participating. Why create a scene when you know you are in the wrong?

      • Searched for it with them on my phone.
        My location default is 2000.

Not aware of the newspaper ad here in melb. (LOL!!)

Gave it a go. $120saving for a drill needed. 3yrs warranty.
It was on the way to take mother for breakfast.

**no seen created as there was minimal people in the store.
1st manager was aware of the deal in Nsw store opening.
2nd manager asked me to show her on my phone.
Final manager voiced ACCC in his response.
I repeated myself that I am unaware as it does not explain it in website.

        Well it worked for me.

      • Just realised that too. This is one of the reasons Masters went under imo. Different pricing at different stores. Too confusing and frustrating.

        • +1

How many times have they done it, and how many people were even aware of it? It's definitely not a reason why they're not doing well.

If you ask someone in NSW, they'd probably tell you it's great that they're doing it. :)

Nothing confusing about it unless you read about it on a bargains website and try to get the deal in a state where it isn't advertised. Even then, it's pretty clear it's an NSW-only deal.

        • @eug:

          I agree.

But, if your phone is set to 2000 for location on Masters website.
I don't think it says NSW only. or specific Only.

Upon that, I managed to grab a Stanley for $119 in VIC

        • @chinezejew: My phone and computer never displays a price unless I enter in a postcode or allow the site to request my location.

If you set the postcode to 2000, you're seeing the price for that area.

        • +1

They do it all the time. That's what used to shit me about masters. You see a price advertised somewhere just to find out it's not available at your store within the same state. I don't know about others but that's the main reason I stopped going to masters. At least with Bunnings it's uniform pricing on their website apart from some clearance items here and there at individual stores.

        • @eug:

Can you say I just say I did a masters search last week from Sydney?

I understand what Masters is trying to say. The price is store specic. But it doesn't exactly say that.

          I was lucky this morning.
          Real lucky

          ** no association with masters

        • +1

@chinezejew: Yup you can certainly try, but if the staff say it's not valid because it's NSW-only, I would be fine with that, because I knew that beforehand anyway. :)

        • @chinezejew: how do you able to grab it, tired in store, it is at normal price.

        • @t400:

I am lucky thea manager folded

  • Got Stanley Fatmax from St Mary. There were couple of both left at around 9:00am

  • Masters Preston vic wouldn't price match. They said it was only NSW sale.

    • You created an account 17mins ago?

      **i can't private message you.
      I do have the receipt.

      Extended warranty registered too.

    • I wouldn't be surprised if they have a similar sale on in Vic next week. That's how disjointed they are.

      • If you actually look at the newspaper ad in the post you will see there is a reason for this sale, it is not random or disjointed.

        • +1

Can't see it, what's the reason?

        • @gimme:

The staff mentioned something about a new store opening??

        • @chinezejew:

If I'm not mistaken there's a new store in Penrith? But I fail to see what does it have to do with Chullora, NorthMead etc offering discounts.

        • @gimme:
Went to Northmead but they refused to give this discount and adviced me to go to Chullora.

        • @SickDmith:

I'm cinfused, weren't people saying they got some from NM and St Mary's?

    • I just showed up with a printed copy with the AD. I didn't know the online had no fine print like the printed ad did. Otherwise I would have pressed a little harder.

Still a fair bit of both at st marys picked up a stanley as well

  • +1

Went to Master Gregory Hills this afternoon around 3PM and pick up a Dewalt Kit for myself , thank OP so happy with the price .

There is still plenty of stock of Stanley FatMax kit around 3PM . but Dewalt only around 6 kit on the floor .

  • I noticed in the Ad the Triton saw stated that it has dual laser but I couldn't see anything on the box or online about it having one. Can anyone confirm if it does or not? Or it's a Ad misprint.

  • At Gregory Hills store - heaps of Fatmax and heard them saying they've got a pallet left. Also, half a pallet (from what I can see) left of the DeWalt. Still unsure which one I should get 😳

    • +1

Dewalt unless u alreadyy have a fatma or planningbto buy mor and want to keep it all uniform. I only got the fatmax because i have a fm multi tool and rec saw and it's practical. FM is not bad by any means but Dewalt is better even at 14v.

      • Thanks. I ended up getting a FM as it's got slightly more Voltage and 3 years warranty as opposed to DW's 1 year.

  • Any recommended impact socket sets?

  • +1

These are back for click and collect, not sure when they will arrive though.

    • +1

Bought the stanley set a little bit earlier than your post. Finally able to collect tonight after chasing up via phone twice.
