Lady Bug USB Mouse $1, 'Picnic' Bluetooth Speaker $10 @ Kmart

70

Was in K-mart today and saw this among other things. Don't know about the performance but for a dollar you probably can't go wrong. Sheesh at a dollar it's probably fine as a fancy little toy for a kid let alone a working mouse.

Before anyone asks I have no idea what the original price was, but either way it was surely more than a dollar. They had lots (30+). Could be countrywide of someone else can confirm.

Bluetooth Speaker $10

Saw this in K-mart today, have no idea how good it is but remember being there a while back and it was more (can't remember how much). Hopefully someone can comment on it.

It was a few watts per channel rms and claimed 4hrs on a charge. Why they want to target the picnic market is beyond me, I can't remember the last time I attended a picnic, surely beach/park BBQ speakers would sell better.

They had some other BT speakers there, and some may be better deals, but not all had more than 10 so not posting those, if you go in just check around.

  • Was in K-mart today and saw this among other things

    Mmmm…..What were the other things?!

  • bought this for $5 a few weeks ago

    • Does it work ok?

      • yes it works completely fine

  • There was also some LED glasses for about $2 when I saw this stuff on sale at Kmart. I did not like the quality of any of those products. Not sure about the BT speakers but I am fairly sure that the mouse was not worth a dollar. You can get a mouse better than that shipped from China for $1.

I have about 10 of the older whale or dolphin and pig themed mice that I got for $1 or $2 a year or so ago. Don't know if they're the same make but packing looks similar. They work but they're horrible and inaccurate and just not worth using. I also tried their bluetooth picnic speaker and you can do much much better. This thing was distorting at half volume.

    • Is there a chance the one you have is a dud?

I don't have one. I have 10. There is a chance I got dud batches. But the thing is they work, just feel horrible and aren't accurate.

The Bluetooth speaker is great value for $10. It has audio controls (play/pause, skip forward/back) plus the usual suspects of an AUX Input and Micro USB Port.
It also comes with a 1 Amp AC Adaptor. I have left this on a few times playing Tune-In Radio on my phone and I have been easily been able to get 4hrs on a full charge.

Re: Distortion. Mine distorts If I max out volumes on both my Phone and the Speaker but if I have the Bluetooth Speaker at maximum volume but the input level on my phone is only set to 80% Max, it works fine. If it distorts at 50% volume definitely return it.

  • I saw the lady bug mouse for $1 at North Rocks Kmart about 2 weeks ago

  • Yep, I bought the Kmart bluetooth speaker for parents. Fantastic value and sounds very acceptable for $10. Even comes with AUX and micro USB cable.

I've got a Logitech X300 which sounds better and has better bass than this Kmart bluetooth speaker but that cost me $66.

If you looking for a bargain portable bluetooth speaker that's acceptable (but not Wow), get this Kmart $10 bluetooth speaker.

You can always test it and refund it if you not happy.

Note, if you already have a good speaker system at home and it rocks , you can check out ebay for the bluetooth receiver that connects to the AUX in to your old speaker/sound system and then it will take bluetooth.

    • Goes to show it's all a matter of preferences. I also am in the same position - have and like the X300 - but when I tested in store and heard distortion at half volume I was less than impressed and would consider it a waste of $10 (and I'm no audiophile). Not to mention the thing is huge compared to the X300.

  • After a few weeks my speaker automatically turns off after 10 seconds.

Guess you get what you pay for.

  • FYI, these mice are now scanning up at $0.50 at both bankstown and lidcombe (NSW)
