Freedome VPN -- 90 Days Free VPN (New Accounts)

150
qsf257
Well I tried freedome VPN for 7 days, which is their trial period. It is a pretty good VPN.
So I was looking for free codes and came across this one which gives you 90 days of free usage.
The code qsf257 worked on my laptop as well as on my HTC.

Hopefully this will work for everyone. Dunno about the expiry date. Cheers !

Code found from here, also confirmed here

You can use P2P on gateways/servers outside of those countries listed on your link. Freedome has quite a few other servers that work

Hope they don't cut down everyone's subscription when they get ozbargained like before
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/212785

    • How did they do that? By applying an update?

      • Probably, one day my days remaining count changed to under 30 days, on all my devices :|

Yeah goodbye to my 20 years of free subscription lol

  • Working on tablet

  • I had a free 1yr subscription that they cut without notice or explanation after 2 months.

  • I wouldn't recommend people pay for this.

I had this installed on Win10 with a 1 year free subscription. And after 3 months, win10 did an update and the program reverted back to a 7 day trial period. The 1 year subscription key I used doesn't work anymore because it's was already activated.

Why do they make you install their app, instead of just using a standard VPN protocol?

    • It's an app based VPN and I don't think they provide a way to configure VPN on your router/modem.

      • +1

Yes, that was explicit in my question.
People who want you to install an app for no good reason should be regarded with suspicion.
Like a "Free bird seed" sign.

  • how does this compare to cyberghost

    • +1

better than cyberghost. faster & goodlooking UI.

  • Anyone know who the best VPN provider currently is? Good bandwidth for streaming/downloading and strong security (all things considered).

  • Code doesn't work anymore.

      just used it worked fine

Cannot get this to work no matter what I try. Perhaps it is because I already subsribed to the past deal, and it won't allow me to enter another code despite the fact I have uninstalled and reinstalled it. Thanks anyway, I found this worked really well and very simple to use of the odd occasion I would use it.

Would advise people not to go ahead with them. I had 1000 days racked up from a previous promo and like the others in this thread, those were pulled without notice and no explanation at all. I ended up paying for a different provider and i have been happy with them (PIA).

  • If your not paying with $ your paying with your information.

All these "free" VPN services are just data mining to sell to ad companies at best, or mining bank details at worst.

    • All the banks I know of use HTTPS, so the banking data is encrypted inside the web browser. All the VPN service can see is the URL of the web page you are looking at, but that doesn't give them any "banking details", unless you mean "the customer is looking at the ANZ home loans web page" type of details.

It won't let them know your account numbers, account balance, password or any information like that - unless that information is somehow contained in the URL, and if it was, I'd be changing banks ASAP.

      • HTTPS or not does not matter, your installing their software on your machine, then routing all your traffic thru their servers.

Very easy for them to issue their own SSL certs for yourbank.com, then bundle those certs with their app and add them as local trusted certs.

Your browser will still think its legit yourbank.com even though their the man in the middle, reading everything in plain text.

I would be VERY weary of any VPN solution that requires a download from the provider.

        • I've just read up on the subject, and you are correct.

Then surely any program on your system could also do that, not only VPN apps, by also adding yourbank.com to the hosts file, and directing your browser to their IP address?

Or any app could install itself as a VPN, even though it appeared to be something else, like a game?

  • Still haven't found a faster (p2p enabled) VPN than PureVPN….

  • the discount code isn't working, think it's expired

    • ya "This campaign has ended."
