People really need to stop using Hola… http://adios-hola.org

Hola as just a browser plugin (client only) is OK I think .. its just when you install it as a permanent application (server client).

      • +1

any negs want to actually say why that is wrong?

        • -2

          Hola is a botnet.

I bet you use botnets like Google Chrome as well. Probably running Windows 10.

        • @joeflacco: What should he be using?

        • Did you look at the link? Being the browser plugin or not it doesn't matter, you are redirecting all your traffic through them, and allowing them to use your connection.

It was at this moment, EA realised they fukced up.

    Does anyone still play this?

    • +6

      Currently online players http://swbstats.com/

      PC: 3,988 (24h peak: 9,884)
      XBOXONE: 17,095 (24h peak: 48,127)
      PS4: 35,705 (24h peak: 72,382)

      Total: 56,788

It's pretty dead. Enjoy playing with bots, I suppose. And there's about 45 minutes worth of single player gameplay.

I wouldn't buy this game until it drops to super-basement-bargain price of $9.99 and the DLC's are like $5 dollars apiece.

      • Yeah same, I'm interested in it but not until about the $10 mark.

      • why cant pc players play againt xbox ps4 players?
        doesnt make sense

        • There's this thing about game balance and advantage a keyb/mouse config has over controllers, which is then compensated by Aim Assist for most console fps/tps.

        • +1

          @shadowarrior:

yea. well. each to their own as far as equipment.
still would be fun to p0wn some xbox/ps4 noobs lol

and solves the player base issue. no?

        • @millusions:
Yeah, it really annoys me that game devs don't have servers where XB can play vs (or team up with) PS.
It's great in Rocket League that PS4 can play against PC players. It's the only game I know of that does this.

        • @shadowarrior:
So, if there's already compensation, then why can't pc players play against xbox and ps4 players?

        • @soupiejr:
That compensation…if brought over to PC, will be pretty much like playing against players using AimBot.
Without aim assist, FPS games in consoles will be really hard for PVP or even most PVE.
There have been various trials where developers tried testing it, and could never balance the gameplay for cross-platform.

It would never solve player base problem. Would you as a PC player keep playing FPS competitive games plagued by AimBots?
Would a console player keep playing a game which they keep losing, just because they are on console?

        • @shadowarrior:

It's time for the peasants to be put in their place. Let them eat cake!

      • I play walker assault pretty much every day… so, its not completely dead. :) Graphs and sound effects are insanely gorgeous.

    • Why you said that? Isn't this got release not long ago (late last year)?

I don't play but thinking about it thou because only cost less than $30. If no one play no point buying lol

  • still way too much given the PC online scene. so sad that this coulda been the biggest thing since BF4…..

EA: We're making a Star Wars game!

      Fans: Hurray!

EA: It'll have amazing AAA level graphics with a cool new game engine!

      Fans: Huzzah!

EA: It'll have purchasable DLC's! $60 for the base game, but only another $60 for the rest of the game!

      Fans: Ohhh….

EA: It'll have casual gameplay mechanics for easy run-and-gun gameplay! Infinite ammo, no repairing and no class selection! It'll be super easy to play on gamepads and controllers!

Fans: uhhh, EA, that's not what we asked for—-

EA: It'll have eight maps and 11 weapons! and 45 minutes of single player campaigns!

      Fans: (leaves the room)

EA: Guys? Guys? Wait, where are you all going?

      • lol

I thought it went like this.

BF4 is pretty good these days after all the patches, Battlefront would have been so much better on the PC if it had a proper server browser instead of the awful matchmaking system.

        • Exactly… problems with SW Battlefront were a FAR bigger problem than the lack of content. 2 months its taken them to start solving then. Useless fools.

  • Can someone check the price of BF4 Premium Edition on Mexico Store for me?

    • +1

BF4 Premium Edition is US$13.99 which is about AUD$19.80

      • Thanks a lot. Might as well get it from the AU store for 19.90 then :)

DO NOT BUY SW:BF, the servers are all dead, no one is playing it. Bought it last winter sale, still haven't gotten into a game xD

    • Ummm.. i play it ever day mate… on PC…yes, against other people..

      • my two friends can't connect to any servers a month after release, they both came to my house and i'd connected instantly every time. we all think it was an adsl vs cable issue.

  • +3

it's not as dead as some people make it out to be (with regards to finding a game) it's just a painful game with no server browser and the amount of actual hacking in the game is amazingly poor to continually see day in day out.

I think it has taken me at longest to find a game, 10 minutes, and that was annoying.

people going 124/1 in TDM style games and then happily admitting to running hacks in chat still being in games 2 weeks later, also annoying.

glad I uninstalled it, sad I paid for it.

    • You get around finding game issues by connecting to games of people on your friends list. Plus they added a region selector in your settings, so thats helped.

As for hacks yeah thats annoying but they are starting to get banned. Most days i do not see a hacker, at least, not a ridiculous insane one. But it does happen every now and then.

One of the worst AAA games of all time.

I would have totally taken a Star Wars themed Battlefield 3/4/Bad Company but it is not even close.

The levels are tiny, the vehicles control like crap, the gunplay clunky and the game modes shite.

And yeah the single player/bots mode is the most boring, repetitive crap.

The graphics are some of the absolute best ever created and the sound is great so for SW fans there's at least that, but then it hits you that all of those assets and potential have been wasted.

No Force Awakens dlc either, confirmed by the devs. Just shows they have already planned for a follow-up.

This game pissed me off immensely. Especially after the developers said they were all fans/players of battlefront 2…and then made a game far far from what the fans wanted. Glad I only had a 6hr trial of it, was all I needed

  • the problem was that the star wars nostalgists went and gave them the money

  • So glad I didn't pre-order this like I did with Titanfall… Fun game with absolutely no content. Even as a huge star wars fan, I'll wait until it drops to $10.

  • +1

Damn, didn't realize it was so dead!

I loved the beta and was waiting for it to drop before buying it..

  • I pre-ordered this game and played 3 hours of it and gave up.
Having logged 1000's of hours in SWBF2, words can't describe how disappointed I am. This isn't a Battlefront game.

  • super fun game!

cheap as, i paid over $80

  • Terrible game.

Paid $50 because I thought it was BF4 quality but star wars themed…its not.

  • Uh, is this still possible to do?
    (just wondering)
