Love these, but the fact that a company founded in Melbourne and ships from Sydney still forces Australians to pay for product + shipping in USD is really frustrating.

  Agreed. They could be more patriotic. Most of their marketing seems to target US now. There are sellers elsewhere selling these for similar prices in AUD. Gumtree for example.

    They are being patriotic. You're buying from a US company, Lifi Labs Inc, headquartered in Redwood CA.
    
    (That they ship using a global logistics firm that happens to hold stock in Sydney is irrelevant).
