Don’t know if here’re many gardening enthusiasts like me. Been using Felco’s for a while and meant to try a different brand. Come across this good deal of a pair made in Japan. With free shipping to Australia (store promotion), these turn out cheaper than Felco 2 which Bunnings is selling for $89 (nothing wrong with Felco 2 though).

Happy gardening :)

Posting Amazon deals is tricky. On the submission page I pasted a specific link with the pricing and free shipping. However, the page altered my link automatically for some reason.

  • so the seller is not Amazon directly? it's Bridge Tx?

    • No. I realized the issue and have posted a specific portal on the updated comment. Hope this fixes it.
      Cheers,
      Sean

  • thanks for the deal.
have been looking for a quality pruner.
was $63.32 for me posted to sydney.

    • Glad this is helpful. Just want to post something different.

  • interesting. what is the biggest tree branch diameter i can cut using this without damaging my arm and the tool itself?

    • No need to make it scientific. For any branches lignified you may want to use a pair of looper

Or you have to upgrade to a saw or an axe depends on what you're working on.

P.S. always be cautious of overloading your tools. Don't worry about your arms though. They will grow back. LOL

      • haha thanks. yeah the looper is much better and much expensive

        • +1

"Looper" is the word for somebody who flies vertical circles in a plane.

The correct term for a heavy duty pruner with long handles is a "LOPPER".

        • @llama: LOL

      Upvote for gardening though

    • don't forget ebay 10% off sitewide deal

  • Good deal. ARS tools are awesome. I'm an Horticulturalist and use mainly ARS hand tools. Haven't used these Secateurs as our guys are kitted out with Tobisho (hand made Japanese secateurs)
We have plenty of the ARS loppers and kr-1000 Shears which are both amazing.

    Can't beat Japanese hand tools.

Up vote for the thorough post. Always good to see when people have done some research themselves and share it.

  • Got similar, serious fiskars at half this price.

ARS pruner! Sounds painful to me….

  • Like most hand tools, there's always some defectives from the production line. Consider the trouble if you need to send it back for an exchange.

    • Hardly heard any fault on these Japanese tools. I will post an update once mines are delivered should I notice any.

  • Expired?!

  • i'm getting $75.68 (AUD) now :-(

    • Apparently. And it was the only store I found offerring free shipping this pruner to Australia.

Get the Felco 2 from the link "engineeringprof" post. Great pair. You will enjoy it. The only advantage of ARS is it’s more friendly to smaller hands.
