Only 1000 total? Brisbane residents get two native trees free, for each paid rates notice, each and every year!

    • +3

And the average wage in Sydney in 15% higher than in Brisbane. http://www.numbeo.com/cost-of-living/compare_cities.jsp?coun…

So do you want free trees or more money?

Or more realistically, these are two totally different cities that can't be compared. Apple trees vs orange trees, if you like.

And the average wage in Sydney in 15% higher than in Brisbane.

        Not for surfies.

27% more douchebags in Sydney, and statistically less likely to win an Origin series. I'll stick to Brisbane thanks ✌🏻️

        • -1

@Sir Casm: Got to let you lot have something, so NRL fixes matches to give you reason to follow, rather than follow aerial ping pong.
More the fool for not recognising as such!

      • We also have far more wealthier people in Sydney. The difference is greater than a million.

      • To be fair I think house price in Sydney is like what… 30% more than Brisbane?

    • +6

Is there any place left in Sydney to grow a tree?

    • No, it applies to people who have a bit of paper that says they live in Sydney. The place they sleep at is probably Palm Beach or another paradise.

  • -2

Does it come with broken pipes and a bird that declaims every morning that its 5 oclock

    • -2

More seriously they good for bushfire seasons, and if you want one collapsing on your home during storms

    • No, but probably with lots of duco eating sap dripping onto car bonnets next to the bird poo also from the nest in the tree

  • Not free. Your rates are paying for this.

    • +2

  • -1

  • -1

I will get it only if she comes with it, NO EXCEPTIONS.

  • And just down the end of my street ;)

(Just to rub salt into the wounds of all those non City of Sydney Ozbargainers)

  • +5

Used up all of my negs today on the weirdo's salivating over shock horrora fully clothed female human (ya know, another person, just like you, not an object for consumption by you) in an advertisement for trees… is everyone on OzB a basement loser with a sock out?

  • I don't want the whole tree, just a root.

  • Lame…
why no love for the eastern suburbs?

Most of the people who live in those areas don't care about trees. They live in terraces, apartments and units. lol

  • Good to see you are recycling this post. More friendly to the environment :P

  • People of ozbargain who are considering to come… DON'T
the line is at least an hour long in the sun
I'm waiting in line and about half way through, I'm pretty sure my neck is sun burnt :/
Wish I had a tree for shade :p

    • +1

      that's pretty crazy.
they should have planted trees along the queuing area.

      probably not worth the effort.
i mean, i assume we are talking about 140mm pots.. perhaps $7-10 value each.
      add costs for fuel.

also, sometimes watering/maintenance costs can mean you are better off paying for something healthier/bigger.

  • Is anything available to Victorians

    • +1

google your local council + "free trees"

  • Will they ship to WA?

    • yeah WA needs to get planting now so there is more coal in 10million years.

      • +1

Good point. I'll start to think about it - next year. (Too busy cutting firewood for winter right now)
