Piece of junk from crappy DxO, click here

    • Yeah, so disheartened when I first saw that review. I was trying to see if they'd fixed things since then and caught this press release talking about updated firmware, ios app and a new companion apple watch app. Just haven't been able to find anyone reviewing the firmware update and how much it's improved.

Reminds me of lytro. Looked good in marketing but turned out to be an expensive gamble that burnt many people in he bum hole

      • One reason I can think of people buying DxO One is, they are too rich and don't know where to spend the $500+ for their photography hobby.

    • I agree, from the DXO site that spreads lies and misinformation about other companies cameras and lens.
Not even worth it if it was in a bargain bin of a $2 dollar shop.

    truly connected camera

I would interpret that as connecting to anything, but from first impressions it looks like they've just included a Lightning port.
Does it support Android or WiFi connectivity?

I would suggest an Rx100 at that price. Since you still need to carry something, it may as well be a legit camera

  • From reviews I've seen, these aren't that good

Either a rx100 or gm1 beats it hands down at that price tag in terms of combined performance of image quality and usability, imo

  • Go buy a Sony RX100… skip mk1 and get at least mk2

  • Pay $40 more and get a Samsung NX500 with 16-50mm kit lens off eBay. 28mp, 4K, touch screen and more. Best bang for buck camera out there in this price range.

    • dead system, (unfortunately)
However….. I suspect that the 'fire sale' of nx gear will start anytime soon….

I'd also be interested where you can find an nx500 with lens for $600

Dead system is no different when compared to a rx100 but it has so many more features.

My friend sold his rx100 and bought a refurbished nx500 with kit lens for $600

He's really impressed by the nx500 and really happy he switched over. He knew the system is dead but still offers a lot more than some live systems.
