4 Shelf Storage Unit, 150kg Capacity - $30 @ Super Cheap Auto

810

Fellow OzBargainers,

I was browsing the SCA website, when I came across this 4 Tier Shelf for the garage, reduced by $10 to $30!

I myself don't have the SCA one, but it looks pretty much identical to the Masters one I bought a few weeks ago for $35 (on sale from $45).

Here's the link for comparison purposes:
https://www.masters.com.au/product/900003055/geelong-powder-…

I'm assuming they're made by the same manufacturer since the specs and weight capacity are the same (as is the looks). Also, with these you don't have to mess around with nuts and bolts - all you need is a rubber mallet (you can do without it and use a hammer, lightly) and 10-15mins of your time. Assuming the SCA ones have the same packaging as the Masters one, they fit easily in your boot (I managed to fit 4 in my Corolla).

Dimensions - 150cm x 80cm x 30cm

Also, as per the other thread, SCA is having a 25% off Tools this weekend - what better way to display them! ;)

Click and collect via ebay and cashrewards

    • No stock anywhere in Perth according to eBay. Won't waste my time driving down. Wonder if there is any stock at all.

      • There's stock around Underwood, Browns Plains in Brisbane (around me)

Just add to cart, and go to click and collect, and you should be able to see who has it in stock around a specific postcode area

  • hmmm

  • Not identical to the Master's one. The latching looks different.

    Master's is 183x80x37cm
SCA is 150x80x30, the width is 7cm less

  • On the website it mentioned not available in WA

  • Does anyone know if the shelf heights permanent once assembled, or can you pull this unit apart and change the heights?

    • +1

You can use a mallet or hammer to knock the beams back up and dissemble/reassemble them.

You can change the height depending on your requirements, you could even make 2 lots of 2 shelf units and join them together, very versatile unit!

Thanks for pointing that out, that's also a good buy!

      4 shelf for $30.00 = 1 shelf for $7.50

      5 shelf for $37.50 = 1 shelf for $7.50

All same price people, buy according to your needs!

    • I think the description of the 5 shelf version is incorrect. The height should be around 1.8m I believe.

Comparing to this one from Bunnings:
      http://www.bunnings.com.au/qiq-fix-1830-x-910-x-410mm-5-tier…

Any idea if it is of similar quality as the SCA ones? Looking for something slightly taller, wider and deeper :)

      • Having just bought 2 they say 1500mm high on the box… My local was out of the 4 shelf so I guess these are only better value if you need more shelves over the same height or have no other choice

        • I suppose you meant you just bought the SCA 5 shelf version. It looks taller from the picture and the description are the same as the 4 shelf version. Both are stated as "4 adjustable shelves" which doesn't make sense. May be you can confirm the height when you open the box.

For me, if the one from Bunnings is of similar quality, I prefer it even it is more expensive as it suits me better for the space I have got.

        • @sylvester328:

Yep the sca one… Definitely 1500mm high which means that if you put a shelf on the bottom as I did, 5 shelves means one every 30cm or so

Went to SCA today to have a look at them in person. Definitely good quality build and the shelves are very sturdy. Too small a depth for my uses though (300mm) but great bargain none the less.

  • Not available in WA :(

  • Another shelf, another reminder of this brilliant roflmao…

Help, I accidentally build a shelf!?
I was trying to build something else but I ended up with a shelf…How do I fix this?!
