        enjoying it a lot although I expect my motivation to wane a bit after I get to level 50

        There is a long roadmap ahead for it, worth this price IMO

          Sorry, I shouldn't say almost dead. There is just a much larger player base on consoles vs PC.

          It's because the PC version was released as consolized trash, so everyone avoided it like the plague. It never had a hope of competing against any of the main FPS games on the PC.

          For the last 24hr period, the peak numbers (globally) playing SWB at the same time was:
          PC: 8,162
          XBONE: 18,544
          PS4: 26,761

          In comparison, Battlefield 4 on the PC had an average in the same 24 hour period of 34,902 players at any given time, and a peak of 112,877 players. The PS4 and Xbone numbers were a bit less than a third of that.

      If you enjoy playing online multiplayer games you might enjoy it (you should probably take a look at the base maps in footage of the mode). But if your looking for a single play campaign which previous entries had, you may have mixed feelings about it buying. Apparently it doesn't have space battles.

      You can play single player missions with bots, however.

      Apparently alot of additional stuff is in dlc packs. I don't have any other info about it, but Im sure someone with more experience with the game could chime in.

      If you don't REALLY LIKE STAR WARS then there isn't enough content here to keep you tied over until Star Wars Imperial Commando destroys that franchise too.

      Yeah. And two of those are populated. It's not worth $50 because there's better games out there with more content for less $.

      I bought it over xmas, didnt like it much, so i took it back on EB games return policy. I dont mind star wars just wasnt the game I was expecting it to be..

      I got it a couple of weeks ago (on sale from psn store - might still be cheap if others are looking)

      I found multiplayer pretty poor
      It feels weird playing a shooter but not having to aim
      Its hard to find games too… guess lots of people bailed

      Can't say I've got my money's worth with Battlefront. The game looks and sounds beautiful, and screams Star Wars, but the gameplay just wasn't there for me.

      I went back to it a couple of weeks ago, thinking I probably haven't given it a fair shot, but I couldn't find a full game (PC) after 20 minutes.

    If you're a gamer or have a love of games, Vote with your wallet and dont buy this game.

    Teach them a lesson for releasing a shiny game with no content or substance , with a pay wall for actual content through DLC.

    Its working guys, ( i think), there is a reason it keeps getting so cheap after such a short amount of time.

    Get it in the bargain bin for $20 in a few months.

    EDIT: im talking about Starwars here

    Thanks OP. Was only going to grab The Elder Scrolls Online PS4 for the missus but with $9 delivery I ended up adding Battlefront as well. Was planning on waiting for a complete edition but if you factor in the extra $9 I was going to have to spend on delivery anyway I got it for $38.20 which isn't so bad. I'll keep telling myself that anyway. God damn EA.
