  • So dead pixel within 3 years won't be replaced? Unlikely though, for Dell monitors. Great deal, I've been thinking on buying one.

    • The 1 year warranty puts me off. A part of DELL's advantage was the warranty.

      • Furthermore, the 8 weeks wait that those people are saying is putting me off too.. I'm confused now, this is really cheap, but should I really buy this?

        • I ordered one on Wednesday and it arrived on Friday morning to Melb CBD, looks completely new in the box. Very happy, definitely recommend it for the money - absolute bargain.

Nice find. Just be weary that there may be extremely long delays. I purchased a 24" and a xps studio 16 from Dell around 8 weeks ago and I've been told they are experiencing "excess demand, insufficient supply" and have now been calling their courier company everyday since last week … for some reason my order has encountered a "system error". Not worth the headache and hours (no exaggeration) per call on hold chasing it up. Mind you I have purchased LCDs and serveral laptops from Dell in the past, they have just recently become sloppy as of late.

Wats happened is that their local courier/distributor DB Schenker have done a database upgrade and every order placed on the internet have been majorly delayed. i purchased a xps 16 6 weeks ago and they say i will get april 1st!

DFO outlet does not have this issue as its a prebguilt and ready to be dispatched…whereas DB Schenker are custom built orders :(

wait, what's good about this monitor?
it's TN panel, 1680x1050 res not full hd
very average brightness and response time?

    • It's just a average monitor at good price.
      @ $169 delivered can't really ask for much…

      • Well I agree this isn't the best monitor. Another good deal is their 21.5" monitor which has higher resolution but not in a bargain with (I think) $220 – still not bad.

  • $169 delivered ! good enough for what I need it for matter of fact I think I'll get 2

  • Ooooooh got 2 of them for $336.60 delivered sweeeeet!
    Thanks kinfungl

  • is this available for purchase for private users or business only ?

and its a .com = US not AU site ?

    • it is ap.dell.com
      ap = asia pacific

It is the Oz dell site.

  • it's got vertical viewing

    i like that!

  • I'm a private buyer and had no problems buying 2

  • anyone get any further discounts from them by haggling? :D

  • so how do you actually buy one ? or just call them up

    • "To order, call your Dell Account Manager, or call 1800-812-393, select Option 1 for Sales and enquiries, and have the "Bundle Reference" number ready to quote when you speak to a sales representative."

      • yeh i saw that, im just surprised theres no online purchase option ?

Yes, it seems trying to get someone that understands what you want and wants to help over the phone is a bit of a challenge.

          • @zappy32: Wow, tell me about it. I think I've rung them 4 times now:

            1. (after much confusion about what I wanted): attempt to transfer, on hold for a while, 'all our sales consultants are busy', promise to ring back.
            2. Ring back hasn't happened after a couple of hours, so I ring: sorry, sales department has closed.
            3. after some confusion, no sales until 10am (Saturday)
            4. back to (1) - put on hold for a while, same person comes back on, promise to ring back. We'll see what happens this time!
  • You can buy online using the online chat. They confirm your details, ring you back and send you an "invoice" by email or you an pay over the phone by CC

    • Where do I find this marvellous facility?
