or you can also get just the Lenovo tablet for $89.3 with Officeworks Price Match if you don't want Chromecast.

Or 3 Chromecasts for under $50 each?

    • Maybe you can arrange an Ozbargain Chromecast 2 group buy meet up.

  • would this tablet perform better than my ipad2? cheers

    • No. But for that price, its fantastic.

  • reviews for this tablet are quit good. There also appears to be an update for android 5.0 os

    • tablet is excellent. just note the lenovo 5.0 update has been reported as buggy and causes fast battery drain. unless a new update is out that I'm not aware of, check the lenovo forums before doing this update.

      • Does it handle full hd media or is it choppy? I know many cheap tablets don't i.e. playing YouTube vid that full hd

        • Plays fine, but surely depends on your internet speed. Screen is great and sound to match. Also Miracast works extremely well.

      • I bought one for my mother for Xmas and there was no 5.0 upgrade available then. When was the update released?

        • I got the annoying pop-up about once a week which advises an update is available. Go to About > System update. It shows as T2-A7-10F_S000054_150801_ROW. My current build number is T2-A7-10F_S000044_150801_ROW. The only difference is the 5 which means 5.0 update.

      • Hey do you know about this and can help with my question below?

I asked: Can apps be installed onto the sd card or is that only for media?
If so any way around it?

        • Yes, I use AppMgr III

  • How long did it take for your email to arrive?

  • Can apps be installed onto the sd card or is that only for media?
If so any way around it?

  • Dislike Harvey Norman but the tablet has its advantages:
    * easily rootable
    * native USB-on-the-go (USB OTG). Attach a USB OTG cable to it and you can stick in a USB HUB and use it with USB mouse & Keyboard. You can also stick in a USB stick to share or back-up important files on-the-go. I can't see myself buying a tablet without this anymore.

    tablet disadvantages
    * has no electronic compass so you don't know which way you're facing when using mapping apps. Lenovo saved some money here
    * cameras are an afterthought (another cost-cutting measure)
    * has squared-off corners which should be more rounded than they are. Personal nitpick

    • I can't see myself buying a tablet without this any more.

Never seen a tablet without it.

      • Never seen a tablet without it.

I have an Asus tablet without it. iPads/iPhones don't support it either, last I heard.

        • Really? What model is it?
          Yeah, forgot about iJunk…

doesnt work. Does any one have this issue

  • Using this as a carputer in my car and it's fantastic. GPS is a bit slow to lock but once it's locked it's fairly good -it doesn't like roads with high trees on both sides though..
